bed/couches operation

Boy, am I confused! Does anyone know where I can find a video of somebody operating the couches that fold down into a king-size bed that are located in the garage of my Outlaw? Had both couches folded down and I'm trying to remount them against the wall with no luck. I just don't see how the hinges operate. The couches were an accessory that came with the coach, so they're not standard equipment, but they are OEM. Any help appreciated.

Have you gone onto Thor's website in their Owners section the top right and gone into the Owner's Resources section? You'll have to log in or create an account if you haven't. There should be all kinds of info for you.

Yes I did, but all they show is the latest setup for bedding in the garage, and that is a drop-down bed. Mine is a 2016. The drop-down beds were not yet available, hence the two couches mounted against either wall, with the capability to fold the couches down to create bedding. This is getting more frustrating by the minute.

Best thing is to contact Customer Service. They are very helpful with providing schematics and such.

Have done that. Waiting on a response from them. I posted the question here in the hopes that somebody out there has a similar set-up and could walk me through unfolding and folding up the couches.

Yeah, Bob, I did that too. Unfortunately, there is not one video in which the couches I have show up. Most are for the jackknife couch that is mounted up front, and mechanically, they are completely different from the ones I have.

Try grabbing it by the top of what, would be seat seatback, and the leading edge of the seating cushion.
Lift up on them.
As they start to pick up into the shape of a "V": just kind of wrangle it back to an upright position.

Bob if that solves the problem, you are going to get some kind of reward, I know it, I just know it. You are like an encyclopedia of information and knowledge. I'm anxiously awaiting the reply from the poster if it worked or not.

No, I don't think they were, Bob, as I looked up the happijac site and what they show are chain-driven overhead beds. Tell ya what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna enjoy my dinner, watch the rest of the ball game, and then tackle the problem until dark. I'll report back either tonite or sometime tomorrow. I gotta be able to do this!!!!!

We're watching NASCAR racing in Atlanta.
Right now: they're racing the rain...
Good luck!

Well, I didn't need luck after all, Bob. I think the word "wrangle" was what did it for me. You are a "steely-eyed RV assistant"!!! Hats off to you and all who responded. The couches are now in the flat position and ready to be swung up and strapped to the wall!

I knew it, I knew Bob would have the answer, he even used the code word
"wrangle", should get an award for solving another problem. Good job Bob, proud of you.

I'm glad that you got it figured out.
But it's a team effort in here, and I was just a tiny bit quicker; than the really smart folks this time...

I'm curious what you have back there. I searched and found happijac videos and forum comments back in 2015. My 2011 Raptor had a U shaped sofa/bed/dining contraption on pretty much the same chain lift system. There was also a solid platform above it also electric that went up and down. I removed and stored that because it was in my way getting the motorcycle in and out. I mostly kept the 2020 Raptor with the sofa flat up against the wall since my garage was used primarily as a garage. I only used it as a sofa twice and the procedures weren't real clear to me so I have to keep referencing to the manual and videos.

This is what was in the back of my 2018 Outlaw 29-H...
I had a little bit of experience with "sofa-wrangling"...
