Black Tank Clean-out leak
Looking for help!
I hooked up the black tank clean out hose to spray some fresh water into the tank while emptying it. I've done that every time. I think the water at the RV park had too much pressure. I started seeing the water run out the other side of the coach all the way across to the steps. Then I had water running under the sink onto the floor in the bathroom. It is all the fresh water and there is no sewage in it. No water went into the black tank.
Now when I'm driving the coach is full of sewer smell. Really strong sewer smell.
Any suggestions? I am going to go out and try to find a loose hose or something. But the problem is, how to get into those areas?

Blank tank spray out leak XG32 Motorhome
When I put the hose on the black tank clean out and turn it on i get a leak that pours clean water on the other side of the coach and then some water comes under the bathroom sink. How do I access the areas to look for this leak or disconnected hose?

Sounds like the vacuum breaker is backwards. Not sure where it is in your coach.

Is that something that could be damaged with too much water pressure? It has worked for 2 years. It leaked when I used a high powered hose at an rv park.

I researched the vacuum breaker valve, and that is exactly what is happening. Thank you so much. I love this site because I learn so much. I never even knew about this valve. Thanks again.

There are 2 pieces of equipment that should be mandatory to have with ANY rv, big, small, entry level or rich & famous coaches; an EMS connected to the incoming power, either hardwired or portable & an adjustable water pressure regulator, not that cheapo restrictor the rv dealer may have given away.
Both of these items should connected EVERY time you connect the rv to either of those sources.

What EMS do you recommend?
I am no going to put a water pressure regulator on my black tank spray out, I use one on my water supply when hooked up. Sick of surprises.

Sorry for you - Can't help you as I have never experienced it or even heard of it.
Sounds like where ever the flush connection goes into the Black tank has come apart and could be an open port to the black tank causing the odor. Just a guess.

The other day I connected my orange host the the black tank cleanout and after a few seconds water was coming out of the drain in the back of the compartment. I finished flushing after about 15 minutes and went home. I looked at the connection where the orange hose connects and behind it was a 1/2 pipe thread, with a hose like used under the sink. The hose goes 18 inches to the top front of the compartment where there is another 1/2 pipe thread. I went to the store and bought a 2 foot stainless steel hose to replace the 4 foot hose Thor put on there. I connected the garden dose to it and no leak. I took my scope and at the top of the compartment were 3 Pex lines white for black tank cleanout and red and blue for outside shower. I followed the white line across the top of the compartment all the way across the motorhome to another compartment on the other side. The sprayer was screwed into the tank there. it is solid PEX after the hose on the hose connector. There shouldn't be water anywhere it's piped solid from one side to the other

Leaking Black Tank Flush Connection
The first time we hooked up to the black tank clean out, we had the same results you described. I was inside and yelled to turn it off when I saw water running across the floor inside and out from under the shower pan. My husband was already cranking the water off, as it was running out on the ground under the tank also. Our previous TT had a black tank flush system, so we knew how to flush a tank. Our 2019 Vegas was new and under warranty, so the dealer repaired it. They replaced the black tank because the leak was at the connector going into the tank. They removed the shower surround to do this, as there is no access panel to service the shower plumbing, etc. on our 2019 Vegas. Unfortunately they did not repair the leaking shower plumbing, so we still can’t use the shower and can’t have any water pressure in the system (city water or water pump) without leaking on the floor.

Of course not from personal experience, but I know someone who while supposedly filling the fresh water tank accidentally hooked up the hose to the sewer black tank cleanout. Could not figure out why the gauge wasn't getting higher in the water tank for awhile. Could you have done this in reverse? On many units the two connections are inside the same access door and can be mistaken on a foggy morning. Just say'in!
