Bubbles or wavy floor

I have a 2018 Thor 29FE Freedom Elite. I notice when I am in bare feet or socks I can feel bubbles or lifted areas of the vinyl flooring. The sub floor or whatever is underneath the vinly feels solid - no squishing, soft spots, etc.

Is this normal where the glue is not holding the vinyl down solid? I thought I read somewhere on this forum that the floor was free floating and only held down at the edges. My concern is I've had small amounts of water come into the coach under the dinette slide during rain storms. Always towel or mop it up right away and have yet go figure out why it leaks there. Wondering if water is getting under the vinyl? I don't think so, but anyone else have wavy bubbly floors?

That said, my coach has one area in the cockpit that bubbles from time to time
I have thought about removing the strip molding, pulling the unglued floor back a bit and using adhesive.

However, there’s a THOR reason why they don’t glue.
This inexpensive vinyl flooring shrinks and expands based on temp.

So I’ve chosen to leave as designed and when bubbles occur, I use a large blade/putty knife to push floor back under edging for a tight fit.
