Here's my thought: find a new tech.
RV and OTA/cable antenna connections on RVs hasn't changed in decades.
Your OTA antenna has an amplifier in it that requires 12 VDC to power it. This 12 VDC is "injected" into the COAX cable going to the antenna by a power injector circuit board which also acts as the OTA/Cable selection switch as well as an output splitter. There may be an additional splitter downstream of it.
This circuit board is usually behind a wall plate that has a small push button switch and LED on it. It may also have a COAX connection and/or a 12 VDC cigarette lighter style power jack.
The power has to be ON for OTA antenna operation and OFF for cable use from the external cable connection jack.
