Calling Electricians - Would like your feedback
I recently purchased a 2021 Four Winds 22E and I'm currently upgrading some of the electrical content in the vehicle. I'm removing the solo lead acid and replacing with two 100Ah LiFePO4, adding a DC-DC Isolated charger, and a Battery Monitor. I've attached two images that show the 12V distribution diagram. One is "as is" off the line and the other is what I intend to do. I'm asking the Electrician community to share their knowledge and offer answers to the below questions.
(1) Is replacing the relay delay and solenoid with the DC-DC charger safe?
(2) Is the location of the BM shunt in the correct location?
(3) Will I be able to start the generator with the lithiums? Theoretically, I think no because the CCA is higher than sum of what the lithiums can put out. But reading other forums, it sounds possible under certain conditions (warmer temps, bigger battery banks, newer gens)
(4) The wire size changes coming off the chassis battery to the charger from 2AWG to 6AWG to fit into the charger's ports. Safe?
Just a cautionary note for anyone reading this - I found that my drawings on the Owner's Resource site don't accurately capture what's on my vehicle (note the relay I added next to the solenoid, found this while looking under the hood). I recommend confirming with Thor that what you have on your end is what they see on theirs.

My only suggestion is that the BM shunt should be in series with ALL negative leads that connect to the house batteries. In other words, you want the monitor to always see the total current being drawn from (or delivered to) the battery bank. As shown in your diagram, current to the charger circuit is not seen by the monitor.

My lithium batteries start the generator just fine.

DEEP CYCLE AGM BATTERY 12 VOLT 100AH if I add two of these to replace my factory batteries in my 2016 Thor axis, do I need to upgrade or add any other things. Battery dummy.

No. AGMs are just another way of packaging a lead acid battery. Lead acid batteries come in flooded, VRLA, AGM and gel packages and all use the same chemistry. Max charge and discharge currents differ across the configurations as lead plate thickness, separator thickness and gel impede the ion flow from negative to positive plates. Each manufacturer has specific requirements for each configuration but for most there is little variations except for gel. For gel, the max current charge and discharge values are about 1/4 that of a similar flooded battery. Charging and discharge voltage remain the same regardless of the packaging.

I’m confused. How is the way he has it shown not showing you that information? Isn’t the negative lead on the battery on the left also connected to the charger circuit? I also believe he has it wired the way victron tells you to with the two positive wires connected to both positive leads on each battery (I’m assuming it’s a victron BM). I’m asking because I need to learn this properly.

The two positive leads are correct.
The loads in the RV have negatives that run to the chassis ground. From there, the electricity runs to the negative on the battery, through the shunt. Yes, the negative coming from the Victron charger (6 BLACK) is connected to the house battery negative, but it's bypassing the shunt, not allowing it to read this current.
Tom N3EQF this is how I understand it. Please add clarity if this is incorrect.

The generator starter and the jacks share a 100 amp circuit breaker on most coaches.

Need to change converter
I e-mailed tech support at WFCO inquiring if the converter that came with my RV can properly charge LiFePO4 and learned it does not. Stock converter is WF-8599PEC which is designed to charge LA. Ol' Larry from Support told me WF-8950L2-MBA is designed to charge lithium. Camping World had it listed at $220 at time of purchase.

Interesting. Wonder why that doesn't show up on the drawing. I'll take a look under the vehicle to see if anything's there.
