Leaking Cab — Help!

I have had my 2020 Thor Magnitude BB35 into the service center 3 times for the same issue: water leakage in the cab area.

It started coming from the driver side oh s**t handle. Then it progressed to the following areas:
* overhead console area (auxiliary switches)
* passenger side oh s**t handle
* the partition on the passenger side between the overhead bed and sofa
* the channel at the base of the power skylight (thereby also soaking the base of the skylight)

I have read that it could be one of the cap seals, defective screws holding the cap to the coach, a faulty gasket in the windshield to the skylight, unsealed brackets, etc.

Did anyone ever have a definitive fix for this? Is there a “playbook” on the things that need to be reinforced, resealed, and/or inspected? Is there a way to reinforce the cap to prevent this from happening in the future?

Any and all help would be appreciated.

Yes, for me it went like this. I removed the headliner in the cab, out came some screws.
2 were holding the cap. Resealed around cap. Tested. Water still came in. Resealed around windshield. Tested…..no water.
Read this for answers…..

Removing the headliner in the Magnitude/Omni is actually harder than removing the bunk platform. If you remove the U-shaped trim piece that you velcro the curtain to, and the two side panels (the ones behind the driver and passenger seats), you can then unscrew the platform from the aluminum bracket. You can prop it up like you see in the picture. You will notice that they did not plug the superduty cab lights holes on the roof. That's probably where the water is making its way to the headliner. Otherwise, it has to flow up and then over the lip of the open cab roof.
If you do this you might take the time to put insulation batting in the whole cap area. Also, you will notice that the side trim area behind the seats is exposed to the outside at the bottom. I sprayed rodent foam filler from the bottom.

Gmthrust,
I was amazed at that gap behind the seats, a darn cat could have climbed in there.
I also found out thor did NOT install a full house filter system. How do I know, I looked everywhere for it and finally called them….she said” no you don’t have one”.

You need to read the several threads about Omni / Magnitude and earlier Thor Super C front cap separation. This isa well documented issue amongst us owners. I would bet the house that is the root cause if your leak.

I have a 2020 SV34 and I took it to the Thor Service Center in Wakarusa to have the front cap separation issue addressed.
