Thor Motor Coach Four Winds 27Z

We have a deposit on this RV and would like any and all comments you might have regarding Thor Motor Coach Four Winds 27Z. If we go with all the RV reviews online, we’ll never buy one! So many disgruntled RV owners in general. We don’t want to be them!

Just do a thorough pre-delivery inspection and you should be fine. Check everything, have them run the water using both the on-board tank & pump and using city water, run the generator, oven, stove, radio, etc....everything.

We have a 28z and love it! Make sure you go through a thorough inspection as Jamie said. Take a look for water in the rear lights this is common. If u have questions feel free to PM me!

My mistake was watching the PDI guy running everything when I should have done it. Case in point, first trip we found the hot and cold water lines reversed. Operate everything yourself. Next problem was water leaks into the drawers below the kitchen sink - drain fitting not tight. Run the water, check for leaks. A flashlight and paper towels will be your best friend. The coach should come with a QA sheet so do your own QA. Run the slide in and out multiple times. Go over the price sheet and all the options to make sure they are there - we were missing the flip up kitchen counter. Take your time, tug on stuff, make sure drawers catch so they don’t come open, inspect cargo compartments for leaks, and if you are really bold have the dealer run a water hose over the cab-over and look for leaks inside. Operate fridge and hot water in both electric and propane modes. Check that the A/C cools and the heater works. I can’t stress enough - bring you fine tooth comb, go over everything and have it fixed before you become the owner

Use your phone or video camera to record the entire PDI, including winterizing, dumping and filling the fresh water tank. We had been using a 1968 coach for 18 years and thought everything would be the same. Information overload. Fortunately my wife was smart enough to record everything including the follow up check the next day after a night in the dealer's delivery area.

Rule of Thumb...for every disgruntled owner out here...there are thousands of totally happy and satisfied owners. Thor does a great job but only you can prevent forest fires and only before the sale. The end result will be dependent on how thorough of a walk through you do BEFORE transferring the money. don't close the deal until everything is repaired and working well. "Promises" to fix things, "We Owe" lists and failure to keep promises is something they do better than anything. It's yours when you drive off the lot. Good choice and enjoy!!

We, also, have a 28z and really like the floor plan. It's a 2014. WHAT HE Said, go as slow as YOU need to grasp everything during the PDI. We didn't slow the guy down.....shame on us.
