And

I think there are some youtube montages of propane tanks painted up like minions and jackolanterns and such.
I would venture away from doing anything to fancy with propane tanks due to liability and safety. Only certain colors are approved.

To be honest, my repaint job may be cheaper than a professional undercarriage cleaning and be more reliable. Glad OP created this thread, because I had not idea my propane tank was rusted that bad.

But you know what, next ice storm with salt and grime and I am gonna drive through it the same way. I may wash it off with pressure hose, but if I have to paint my propane tank ever 4 years so be it.

Just think of how much appreciation on that RV that go all dirty has. No matter what it costs. Power wash, clean back to new condition. Its worth it. Get some of those them yoga mats. It won't hurt your back so much crawlin unda the RV.

2nd, I hate when you go and try and make a deal on your new RV and someone else has bought it from under you.

POR-15 comes in colors

I used Krylon 5X Primer + Paint. I applied multiple coating so I feel good, but I can't say how long it will last, but time will tell.

POR-15 comes in a small variety of colors, however it is not UV stable. This only means that if it is to be exposed to sunlight, it should be painted over with another UV stable paint, such as Krylon or Rustoleum in your choice of colors.
