Dry Weight?

Hi All,
Does anyone know the dry weight of the 2017 Thor Compass 23TR?
It doesn't show up on the specs.
Jane

If you've already bought it or the dealer has it ready to sell that dry weight means nothing now.
That's the weight it rolled out the factory door, once it arrived at the dealer batteries, propane, hopefully water so they could test the system & any dealer added options were installed that posted dry weight is no longer valid.

You think it got to the dealer without batteries?

Either on the screen door or around the drivers area. If it is a used rig it may not have the yellow sticker.

Best bet is just take it to a public scale (truck stop) and weight it, noting exactly what you have loaded in it along with water, tank and propane levels.

No! Of course the chassis had a battery from the chassis manufacturer or how else could they start it. But the coach/rv part of it DID NOT til it got to the dealer! Or if needed, such as towables, the transport driver furnished a battery required for the break-away brake system til it arrived to the dealer when he removed his battery to be used on the next delivery.
As stated if you want a true/accurate starting weight head to a set of scales & pay the $10-12 to weigh it.

So all the Thor dealers across the US use the same Harris OEM batteries for the house in the Thor MHs? Doesn't seem likely.

But I agree, DRY WEIGHT, just like in towables, is a fictional number. Weigh the rig to see where you stand. Well worth the small fee.

Personally I have absolutely no idea what battery any particular dealer may install in any particular rv, be it a MH or towable, but I'm quite sure it would be the absolute cheapest batteries that they could possibly find to provide the minimum requirements of that particular rv. Most likely marine hybrid cranking batteries rather than true deep cycle types, unless the consumer requests & pays for a better quality as an upgrade.
Now back to our regularly scheduled weight issue. The yellow tag was as it rolled out the factory door, with or without however many of whatever brands of batteries provided by whomever, so at this point it's just a guesstimate. Head to the scales as it sits & weigh it to know for sure.
