Purchasing a New 2023 Thor Tiburon 24FB.

Is the ECO coating worth getting?

If the $25,000 factory paint job needs further protection from the dealer, buy something else. That's nothing but profit. Did they offer that luxury option before or after the extended warranty and fabric protection?

They offered the extended warranty first, and then the ECO coating and havenít got around to the fabric protection yet, I actually thought that would be included in the ECO coating. They havenít explained it to me yet.

I would pass on all of it. Before they even get deep into the pitch just tell then you're not interested.

Pass on all those scams. Buy some good quality carnauba wax, roll up your sleeves and wax it twice a year. In five years you'll thank yourself that it still looks brand new!

Whatever does not come from the manufacturer is just a ploy dealers use to increase their profit margin.

...and you're SUPPOSED to learn that lesson from car dealerships. But better late than never!

I have learned a lot of things as I age. Two of which are things change and your never too old to learn new things. I know that these things are mostly scams, but I figured I would ask if by chance they have gotten more effective or worthwhile. I was skeptical thatís why I asked. Thanks for the reply

If you go to the website of the manufacturer of that ECO-RV product, the first thing they advertise and boast is how perfect a product it is for the RV F&I (Finance & Insurance) Departmemt.

Wax it yourself or pay a guy to wax it twice a year. Way cheaper, way better and way more towards putting you in tune with your rig.

I talked to the guy who does the exterior coating on the side. He would do my motor home for $250.00 using the same products they offered in the initial contract. You might try getting in touch with the company that the dealership uses outside of the dealership.
