I had also assumed that I had power from the house! Shame on me for being lazy & having the "woman" mentality of trusting a man to do the job hehe After reading tenbear's comment on my power coming from battery, my brainstorming kept coming back to problems with my own power supply, either the cord or else the house outlet. I have indeed learned my lesson to do it myself! You are all awesome & I hope this will help other people to get ideas to fix their own problems with this thread.

I plan to call the guy who did the new RV walk through with me at CW. I'll keep everyone posted on what he says. Thank you!
I had a dedicated grounded 30amp 120v receptacle installed in my garage near rollup door for my 30FE to plug into at home. It cost me $150. May want to go that route. I winterized my unit by blowing out water from all lines but when it’s gets below freezing, I can turn on waste tanks heaters and furnace if necessary.

Make sure your battery switch is on. Mine has to be on to charge.

Check your breakers to see if any tripped. There’s power surges in campgrounds and in 30A service. When I notice mostly 30A, I use a 50A drop down to 30A to avoid power losses.

How did this 3 year old thread get drug up? you would get better response by starting a new thread.

Usually it is Kitchen and dinette that are dead and everything else is dead.

Start at the PED with a volt meter and check all connections back to your circuit breaker box in that order. If 50 amp you need to see 240 L1 to L2. If 30 amp you need to see 120 volts.

I should have said everything else worked

I am more concerned they have an email address for a User name.

Quote:
User names are best kept to a short length (under 12 characters) and shouldn't contain any special characters (like % or & or #). They also have to be G rated and may not be e-mail addresses or web addresses.

Unfortunately, there are over 500 registered users to this forum that have used their email address as their Username. We all know it's not a good idea but if that's what they do when they register that is their choice. If they request a change after registering we are happy to accommodate them but can you imagine the flak if we just changed their Username without their request, knowledge or consent?

I'm not sure what the 'deal' is all about, as far as your username being your email address... what problem does someone think that might make??

Webcrawlers search the web for available email addresses to put on the SPAM lists. Having your email address as your Username makes for easy pickings.

my 'spam mail' folder takes care of that... like spam 'snail mail' in the mail box, you can try your hardest to ask the USPS to stop bringing it, but they do anyway - the landfills are full of them. My UPS 'Informed Delivery' daily email now shows me what 'important' mail I have arriving in my box. Only then do I attempt the retrieve it. Only then do I have to deal with 'spam mail'... a trash can next to the mailbox is quite handy.

I am fine with it also, but if we can ignore one rule, are there more that can be ignored or thrown out? Maybe cavie can enlighten us to which rules can be ignored, since it is so funny. Sarcasm is my specialty.
