FYI, I'm sure you didn't realize this, but, you should not be posting schematics. If you read the first page of the schematics, it warns you of copywrite infringement. You might want to contact the Forum moderators and have them remove it. I don't want to see anyone get hammered. And...you are not the first to make the mistake. But, as always, thank you for helping a fellow Thor owner! That's what we are here for...well that and see who can take the best shot at Bob Denman.

Z28 valve on passenger side

This valve is below the black tank. You need to keep this closed until you dump, otherwise solids will collect in the almost level ABS pipe leading to the drain valve on the drivers side.

Without pictures it is hard to help but I will throw this out there...... I had an Outlaw 29H and it had two black tank valves. The black tank was on the paseenger side and the grey tank was on the drivers side. I think there were two reasons for two valves.

The blank tank drain plumbing ran under the drive shaft and over to the grey tank where they merged for draining. There was a valve right at the bottom of the tank and then one on the drivers side for draining. The valve at the tank being closed kept debris from filling the plumbing and potentially clogging. It also allowed the blank tank to be closed if the plumbing got ripped off the bottom of the coach. It was about 6" off thr ground at best.

I ended up removing the black tank drain that went under the drive shft and added a drain for it on the passenger side as a result because I knew some day a speed bump or debris in the road would tear it off.
I recently purchased a 28z and have been thinking of removing the 3” pipe as well. So do you just attach your stinky slinky under the coach to drain the black tank then move it to the grey tank?

Hello Judge,
My wife and I are looking to upgrade to a newer class c. The one that we would like is the 2018 Thor Chateau 28z.
The only downside is where the drain dump out is. Since about 7 and 1/2 in from the ground.
I see that you had put a drain for the black tank on the passenger side. We are interested in seeing how you had done that.
Is there any way you could post some picturesque of how you accomplish that? Is there any way you and I can get in contact with each other?

Judge has chosen to not post on this Forum anymore so don't expect a response. I'm sure all he did was cut the cross-over pipe downstream of the passenger side isolation valve and glue piping and a drain hose connector to it to be able to connect a standard drain hose. Probably cut the cross-over pipe at the other end and put a cap on the stub.
