Full Time

I'd appreciate comments from anyone who is full time in a Thor super C.

Storage, ergonomics, annoyances, ride quality etc.

Thanks

I wouldn’t dream of full timing in a Thor Super C. They are too small and do not have adequate OCCC or storage for full timing. Also, earlier models do not have WD hookups.

Looks pretty but IMHO it’s not practical for true full timing.

I have a 2017 35sk super c not full time yet but would be very happy in it. I don’t think a wd would be a deal breaker

Speaking of OCCC...is that on a data plate or do you have to weigh the empty unit and subtract that from GVWR?

Anyone out there know what the OCCC is for a 2018 Chateau 35SB

Do you have the empty weight or OCCC for your unit?

It's normally on a yellow sticker by the driver's seating position...

People full-time in Class B's for years. Others full-time in Class A's then downsize to smaller motorhomes to continue their full-time adventures. It's all dependent on your needs, how you like to RV, boondock vs full hookup ratio, how much stuff you bring, how many people you have with you, pets, special needs, budget, towing needs, comfort levels, etc.

I briefly considered the Omni/Magnitude for my upcoming full-time adventures but the OCC stopped me until I found out about the new RS36 bunkhouse on the F600 chassis. It should easily have over 3k of OCC like the already released BT36. Now it's back in the race vs the Jayco offerings, which offer more but cost a lot more.

Decisions...

We’ve been living full-time in an rv park with electric and water for a month and a half. We’re practicing water and power conservation. With three dogs a cat and the two humans, our 75 gal fresh water is not an issue. The limiting factor, go figure, is the black tank. We can get a good week out of the tank.
The annoyances are the little gaps that allow spiders in. We’ve been experimenting with electronic bug repellers. Too soon to tell, but they seem to work (we have them under the bed, in the outside tv compartment, inside throughout the rig). We’ve replaced all three fans with Maxxair deluxe fans-fyi, they are awesome!
We’ve beefed up the wardrobe so we could put a 45 lb portable washer that we use in the shower.
As far as the weight goes, we removed the generator, added lithium iron phosphate batteries and victron inverters. Net weight savings of around 350 lbs.
We cut weight in all places we can, put heavier items in the toad (keeping in mind it also has a weight limit).
If you want more, pm me and I’ll be more than happy to go into greater detail.

Oh great, I just love spiders. We also have an XG32. I’m assuming they are getting into the slide out areas?

Yeah, still trying to figure it out. I know we’ll never be that tight, but freaks out the wife. I don’t blame her. Some nasty ones here in Florida.
