Got home from our Initial Trip with the new Super C, Love it but need a little help

So it was great. We love her A LOT. As we expected, there are some issues. Most are fit and finish but others I don't know for sure and don't know enough to know what to search for.

Any help would be appreciated

Big trip to Florida next weekend so I would like to know if anything is serious. Our dealership is an hour away.

  1. Driver camera losing connection
  2. Plug above dvd player not working, bottom one works, top one I can't get a plug in to.
  3. Door closing and trim issue, it is binding on something and got harder and harder to use.
  4. Battery button/switch in the coach is loose
  5. Door of exterior kitchen not closing or locking right, seems to be crooked
  6. All the locks are hard to operate
  7. Water leaking from clean out hose area
  8. Cant figure out how the cab curtain works
  9. Passenger side camera loose
  10. Jack level doesn't always show on display
  11. Jack level shows error for right side jack
  12. Shower nozzle only dribbles

Any ideas I would love to hear

Pics coming soon!

My suggestion if it's under warranty have the dealer do the repairs.

Welcome to the forum! It seems your dealer did a poor job of prep, and a poor job of Pre Delivery Inspection.

Suggest you have a visit with your dealer service people asap. They may be able to schedule you in on short notice. Or at least walk you through remedies for some of those things. If after that discussion, you still have issues, bring them back here. Plenty of folks here willing to help.

As for the locks and the door, get some penetrating oil (some like WD-40) and shoot some oil in each one and each hinge with that little tube you attach to the spray nozzle. That will need redone periodically. Be sure to wipe off any excess.

You should have great weather in Florida. You'll be in with a lot of rigs on the road headed this way!

PS. You can change your profile from "Just Looking", you're an owner now!

I agree your dealer should fix all those on a new rig...
But getting it done in less than a week will be challenging at best.

Most doesn't look serious - more fit and finish, but a couple concern me without knowing more details.
  • Door of exterior kitchen not closing or locking right, seems to be crooked
Well - this is ok as long as the door is secure for travel...
  • Water leaking from clean out hose area
Ummm.. what kind of 'water' is leaking? Fresh is no issue - but gray/black is a much bigger problem...
  • Jack level shows error for right side jack
Does the jack function?? Pack some blocks for your trip if you have to level the manual way..
Of course not serious is the shower 'dribbling' - RV showers have a 'dribble mode' - usually a valve on the nozzle that lets you save water while allowing a trickle to maintain water temp.
Of course most RV showers are mediocre at best as far as flow - even with valve in right position... Swapping out for an Oxygenics is something I've done on both my RVs to date.

I'm heading to Florida this coming weekend as well... BUt coming from a bit further north than you... Safe travels!

I know the dealer will fix it all. I just don't know what I can do easily and what I can't. We don't plan on getting any of it done by the dealer before Florida. I just don't know if anything should be a big issue.

The water is coming from the place where the clean water goes in to flush, so it isn't a big deal at all

The jacks work, though it didn't seem as level as the coach thinks it was.

The door is functioning and locking so no issues there.

Thanks for the ideas. I will keep checking this for more.

IMO the issues that would give me pause are #10 & #11 related to your jacks. Had a problem in our coach with the jacks. The problem becomes if the jacks fault out while they are down and cannot be raised or if you are driving when a fault shows up. Most everything else on your list can be tolerated or fixed fairly easily.

I would contact Thor support and let them advise you. Probably can help with some easy fixes and even parts for you to apply. Most times we'd call Tom Overton was our advisor.

You mentioned your door was binding. If the coach is out of level the door will bind.

Thor emailed me back within a few hours!

They sent a very detailing troubleshooting procedure! I am going to try it tomorrow. My dealer also asked me to bring it in right away. I can't make it to them but they are 100% ready to help!

Good news for me!

I will let you know what happens

Good to hear - in our experience Thor tech support has been spot on.

More importantly glad your enjoying your coach. It is a great way to travel and live.
