Rpm @ 75 mph
What’s everyone RPM’s running at 75 MPH with the 6.7 and the 10R transmission? I am running 22-2400 and I thought that was kinda high. Getting 10 MPG in a brand new BT36?
EDIT by Site Team:
This is a Super C with a Diesel power plant. Comparisons to gas MHs is worthless.

What makes you think everyone runs 75 mph?
Also everyone will be different based on terrain.

Mine's never been over 70, and that was very briefly going down hill. My sweet spot is 65mph.
But gotta ask... why the hurry? Enjoy the journey!

65 mph is my limit. My V10 rpm on flat is around 2000

I don’t run at 75 but that seems normal. Wind, hills and towing will affect all that. Getting 10mpg at that speed seems pretty good.

We were on the baren plains of SD and Montana with an 80 MPH limit and NO traffic so we bumped it up. MPG went from 12 to 10 and I noticed RPM were higher than I though they should be for a Diesel. I was expecting it to stay under 2000 RPM.

Sounds normal for a new coach.
We have the 6R trans and see approx 2500 rpm and get 10 -12 without the boat and 8-10 with the boat.
We have approx 23000 on the odom.

One question would be are your tires rated for that speed?

On Saturday Sept 24 2022,I took possession of my brand new Thor magnitude RS 36 built on the Avenue 600 chassis. I then got behind the wheel and drove all the way home to Rochester New York. 98% of that trip was spent on the highway with the cruise control set at 76 miles an hour and the truck was running about 2400 RPM and the gas mileage info kept saying I was averaging about 10.9 miles per gallon. I was absolutely amazed how the tachometer and the speedometer never varied, uphill, downhill, you name it,it was like both gauges were glued in place. Very impressed, love this coach. My trade in was a 2012 Thor freedom elite 21C built on the Ford e-350 Duelly cutaway chassis with a V 10 gas motor. No comparison between the two. Couldn't be more happy with the new rig,

I have a '20 Magnitude SV34 but it has the 6-speed transmission and the few times I have had to 75MPH my RPM's were around 2500. I'm typically in the 60 - 70MPH range and my RPM's are in the 2200 - 2400 range.
If I am not towing anything and running 60MPH, I get over 10MPH. I have been traveling out west the past 6 weeks through Colorado, Utah, Arizona and New Mexico and so far I am averaging 8.5MPG fully loaded and towing a Jeep that has a lot in it plus two e-Bikes on the back. I can't complain about the mileage for hauling around about 25K lbs through a lot of hills and mountains.

We traded in a 2016 Jayco 29ME with the E450 frame and V10 and you are right, no comparison at all. So far we love this coach and the power. We did a 4500 mile break in test drive from Ga to Montana within 4 days of purchase. Couldn’t be happier.

Judge just saw that you are from Cape Coral. Hope you and the family are all safe. We are from Sarasota originally and all our family is still there. They are all safe but a close call and I know south took the worst impact.

Thank you very much!
We have been on the road out west since the last werk of August so we weren’t there. My brother lives 5 minutes from me and he rode it out in his highrise. He was snle to check in our place. By some miracle we didn’t get flooded but we have some roof damage. All things considered we are very fortunate.
But I feel horrible for those that lost everything. Many businesses we frequented have been wiped out completely. It will take years to rebuild and places like Sanibel, Fort Myers Beach and Pine Island will never look the same. I don’t think our neighborhood will ever look the same. My brother said all of the trees and gates in our community were destroyed and it looks like a war zone.
There is still no power or water but I’m hopeful it gets restored before we head back.
I hope everyone gets the help they need as soon as possible. People are running out of food, water abd basic necessities.
