After looking at the "Z": I have a couple of questions:

1. How do you feel about having the sink (and plumbing) on the slide-out?
2. The 40" TV is right next to the Dinette... Can you be eating, and still comfortably watch T.V.?

I'm sure not meaning to rain on anyone's Parade: I'm just asking...

We just purchased a Four Winds on the Sprinter chassis. Officially it's 24'11" with 2 slides. It's big enough for the 2 of us and 2 cats. We haven't spent more than 4 nights in it at one time but we both feel it's plenty big for weeks at a time. (we did spend lots of time on a sailboat so maybe we are used to cramped quarters).

The big advantage is the smaller size when booking camp sites. Three times this summer we have booked a state park site at the last minute (4 days out) because the remaining site(s) were 25' or less.

Also the Sprinter sits higher than a class C, is much easier to get from cab to cabin than the Ford 350/450. Compared to my BIL's 25' class C it's much easier to drive and both cab seats swivel.

Bob- no raining. I have had no problems w/ the sink on the slide, but I have not looked for them either! I am aware it is a problem, and if i have one i will dig into it. As for the TV, mine is actually above the door in the 13, but in looking at my next coach that has the same set up there is no way to see that TV while sitting there, even if you want to you would see every pixel being 18 inches away from it. Didn't your parents teach you to not watch TV at the dinner table anyway

off topic slightly- size of RV in spaces

I saw the response about RV size in campsites a couple posts eariler, and reminded me a question that I have been meaning to ask- has anyone been busted for putting a larger RV in smaller space? At least in FL i think i could get my 28z (30 really) in the 25 foot spaces- I hang so far over the back and there is every rarely anything back there that won't bend.... So esp in FL, has anyone been approached by a park ranger or anyone?

At one of our annual camping spots a friend parks their 40ft 5th wheel toyhauler in a site designated for 25footers. It is quite the sight seeing the monster RV in such a tiny site (they usually arrive before us so I've never seen how they maneuver it into place).

They've been parking in that spot for years without anyone shooing them away.

So many floor plans...so many options. Hopefully what you chose works for you...but let's not start ripping her choice apart because it isn't what you did. With all respect...she's been shopping for awhile, and if you read her initial posts, she's a very seasoned RV "historian"...tents, 5th wheel, truck camper, pop up, etc...I think she's done a great job of evaluating options and has made the call on what fits her best. She always will have our shoulders, minds (what little we have left) and muscle to get her through whatever she does.

That's about eight pounds of sausage... in a five pound casing!

If they can make it fit:

I don’t feel like anyone is raining on my parade or anything like that. It’s good for me to read about different view points. I hadn’t really thought about an issue with the sink being on the slide side. And now that you mention it, I recall the sink being opposite the slide in our past RVs- something else for me to google.... lol

The reason why I brought that up:
Any plumbing or wiring that's is in the slide; will be moving with the slide...
I'm not saying that it's a problem. I'm just thinking that if it can be kept simpler...
It might prevent problems down the road.

FYI: We didn't know this, when we bought ours. We've got a "sliding sink".

I agree simple is good 👍🏻
I’m going to search and see if there have been many problems - never hurts to be informed.

One other thing: How do you feel about "Privacy Curtains"; versus an actual room, that has a real door?

I think we are okay with that- if not maybe there’s a mod in the future 🤔

3 feet?

I'm curious?!
Since we are talking a significant difference in handling parking/ manoeuverabiilty with 25' vs 30'
Moving a few feet from say 30' -32/33 does one notice an appreciable difference?

It's more a function of the wheelbase. Get the rig that gives you the most space: within the confines of a shorter wheelbase!

(All other things being equal...)
