Judge step inside

OK Judge, what is my first step? molding is lifted pretty good on the passenger side and you can see the screw pushing out. If you look close towards the top of the pic you can see the screw.

Man..... I hate to be the bearer of bad news but...... this front cap issue on the Super C's is starting to look like the Delta variant. Unfortuntely, you have it.

When I first saw the screw heads pushing against my molding, I wasn't overly concerned given the workmanship issues many of us have experienced. But when the molding breaks its seal and starts moving and lifting, that means the screws are popping out and either breaking or just falling out.

I think you are still under warranty if I remember your early posts but it doesn't matter because this is structural and should be covered under the 12-Year Structural Warranty.

First, I would take as many high quality pictures as you can showing the molding lifting and the screw heads trying to push out. If you see any holes under the molding, that is where a screw is missing so get a picture of that too. If you actually see the molding moving when you are leveling, I would take a video a well.

Next, I would reach out to Thor Warranty Customer Service via e-mail and explain you have the Magnitude / Omni front cap issue (that many other owners have been reporting) where the screws attaching the cab-over are breaking and the front cap is flexing causing the molding to break free. Attach your pictures. I would then try to follow-up the e-mail with a phone call.

Then, I would request them to schedule you into the Thor Service Center in Wakarusa to fix the problem. Fortunately you are not too far way.

I would not trust a dealer to do this repair. I have heard Thor has sent a tech to a dealer to do the repair where the owner was very far from the Service Center but I would go to Wakarusa where they have everything they need and the people experieinced with the problem.

While you are at it, get your warranty punch list put together so they can address any and all other issues you might have. They will do an outstanding job for you.

Sorry my Magnitude / Omni brother..... I wish I had better news for you.

The good news is that I have been out about four times since mine was fixed at the end of last year and so far so good. But I'm not going to bless mine as properly fixed until I get back from my upcoming 7-week / 5500 mile trip out west where the coach will be put through a wide range of road and campground conditions. If it holds together after this next trip, I will feel much better about it.

That's what I thought was going on there. Mine is a 2020 so it's out of it's regular warranty, but you're right, it should be covered under structural warranty.
Thank you for your input.
And yes I will take it back to the factory.

Well, after sending pic's and emails back and forth with Thor warranty yesterday and today they have told me too bad they are not going to cover it, they also told me all that was wrong is the molding needs to come off tighten the screws maybe a little sealer and that's it.
I said I disagree this is a structural problem and others are having the same issue and getting it fixed. Again they will not cover or fix this.

Guess I will take it apart and fix it myself. Pretty sad when the screws that hold the front of your coach on fall out and Thor tells you TOO BAD not our problem.

Is it for the structural issue on the Super C?
Is Joel a member here on this forum? if not, do you know him or how to contact him and maybe invite him here.

Heís been my attorney and fellow Rvr. He mentioned to me that he was involved in several lawsuits against Thor when I bought my current RV. I have owned 4 different RV all made by Thor never had a problem. But he has handled multiple cases for me in my law enforcement career. He is excellent. His office is in Annapolis Md.

Ok. Is handling any at the moment on the Super C front cap structural issue?

Not surprised at all at Thor's response.

Thor AND the dealer refused to replace some of the decals on my RV within the warranty period. At first, the dealer promised me they'd fix the decals, but after taking possession, they told me to kiss off, as did Thor... Thor sucks, and so does General RV of Jax, period...
