MaxFan and AC Hot water heater have stopped working

Plugged into shore power. Gas hot water heater working but not on AC. Checked fuses 2,4,5,7 and both 40 fuses. Seems both appliances stopped working at same time. Any suggestions most appreciated. 2018 Chateau 22B.

The AC part of the water heater is powered by 120 VAC through a breaker, not a fuse.

The Maxxfan is 12 VDC powered from the house batteries.

Since the water heater works on propane that means it has 12 VDC control power so I don't see how the two failures can be related. Troubleshoot them as separate issues.

Like ace says lots of things will cause either problem, the Maxair may have a fuse on the unit, it will look like a small knob about the size of a fingernail. Lots of other possable problems .

Has the water heater been empty? If yes the element may have burned out, as above Lots of other possible causes.

Good luck and keep us updated

Water heater now working and jury rigged Fan issue

Thanks all.

On outside wall of water heater is a Cut Out clear plastic 5 inch connector with a small fuse inside. Replaced this cut out device $40 CDN and both gas and AC now working.

I traced the fan issue to a bad circuit board behind the 4 speed on/off switch in the fan assembly. Installed an on/off toggle switch and inline fuse for now to get running with only one speed. Can anyone suggest what amp inline fuse I should use?

I don't imagine that MaxxFan would pull more than 10 amps, even on high speed during start-up. If I'm wrong, bump it up to 15.
