Mystery remote control

We purchased our Thor Delano 24TT a month ago. No real issues but a few small ones I will not go into here.

In the bag of manuals I found a small remote control that I cannot figure out what it controls. I have 2 remotes for the TV’s and another for the house radio/DVD. Pictured is the mystery remote. Anybody know what it is for?

Have you tried putting some batteries in it, and pushing some buttons?
Is there any brand name on it?

Yes. The battery is new and it does nothing. I was hoping it was the ejection seat for the passenger side but my wife is still here. Still no idea as to its use.

You might be running your neighbor's garage door up and down...

As Bob asked, any brand or manufacturer listed on reverse? With "Menu" and volume controls; it's likely some sort of AV remote. If this a pre-loved Delano, previous owner may have left remote for a CD/DVD player behind.

I was thinking the same: it's clearly not for a TV...

It might be for the radio/DVD player or a freestanding DVD player.

The icons look like they are for a parking system (PDC) - i.e.: is there an after-market reverse camera with guidelines and settings? Perhaps a mirror with a rear view screen and parking distance sensors?

Nothing like that. I am at a loss but since I have no clue to its use, I do not miss it.

I wish to take back my last comment. You are a genius. It is used with the backup camera system. Thank you for solving this mystery. I owe you one.

AWESOME news! I too have been trying to figure out just what the heck that remote is for...and yes, like you, my wife is still here despite many button pushes so no, it doesn't work on the ejector seat...

Can't wait to see what it can do with the rearview camera. Any ideas? I am not a real big fan of the way mine is set up now.

Same problem

If still asking: We also found a random remote in our class c Thor chateau and finally realized it was for the radio/dvd player in the dash! Convenient when you’re the passenger down the road and don’t have to bend forward to adjust settings. Hope this helps.

How to use the remote

Now that you know its for the back-up camera, how does it work? I just got Delano 24TT and have the same remote.

It has the ability to move the two lines that define the backup path. Other than that, the little I have played with it, it seems to be fairly useless. I have found the manual for it and when I have a few minutes I will post a pdf for your enlightenment.

It allows you to set a custom viewing field. Kinda like a Ring doorbell if you will.

You have to look for a button on the shift lever...
