New Thor Owner

Well after 2 years of back and forth with the wife, we made our selection. A 2017 Chateau 31E. Tomorrow is PDI at CW Kissimmee, FL. We know there are a few cosmetic issues as the coach has been on there lot since August of last year. Hope all the major appliances check out ok. Will post a followup tomorrow night.Click image for larger version

Ditto what Jamie said. Bring your voltmeter with you, After you are satisfied with the Air Conditioner and Microwave, and the Refrigerator on AC, unplug it from shore power for the rest of the PDI. Check your battery voltage when you are done; should be close to 12.6 Volts.

My CW swapped out both my batteries for new Exides during my PDI because they were both dead on a 2016 coach in April of this year.

Well PDI went very well today. Spent 4 hours checking out every nut, bolt and screw on it. We do have 3 remaining issues that CW is addressing today and 3 warrenty issues, dining table had major scratch causing skin to peal on edge, and the wall splash trim in the bath was not sticking to the walls, and the deadbolt on the camper door will not line up with the strike plate. The local items were removal of a few marks on the ceiling, screw caps on camper door missing and they did not flush out the winterization from the water lines.

Overall I am pleased with the unit. All batteries check good 12.70 volts 2 hours after i shut off all exterior power.

We will take delivery of it tomorrow afternoon. Now where do we want to go first. Decisions decisions.

Thanks everyone. We arrived home with the coach yesterday. Was really impressed with how it handled on the highway. We are taking a shack down trip this weekend to Savanna, GA to visit the grandkids. It should allow us to get better accustomed with the unit.

Hopefully yours doesn't have all the issues ares had. Power levelers didnt work after one week. Inverter for fridge died, contol board furnace went. Flloded three times from rain and the best one grey water line from sink was sheered off and when we used sink it flooded the lower dresser becuse Thor just left it there. Good times!!! Good luck
