Outdoor TV

Need help, I need to remove the outdoor TV on my Chateau 31W, it doesn’t articulate looks like it’s mounted on a solid bracket but is there a way to maybe unlock it to remove it or do I have to just unscrew the mounts that I can barely see.

Not sure about the Chatau but on my Palazzo I can access the outside TV behind a panel in the bathroom. Just have to take out four screws.

Well on the 31W the sofa backs up to the outdoor TV and there is no access panel there but thanks for your input.

We had a 31L with the outside TV. The only way to get it out was to remove the screws from the rigid mounted bracket. As I recall there were two screws on each bracket at the top and also at the bottom. Really not a bad job. Especially since the TV we had was extremely light.

Yep, that’s what it looks like on mine, two brackets on top and two on the bottom. I’m just worried that the screws won’t tight back up completely if I pull the out then screw them back in, not sure what Thor screwed the mounts too.

I’ll give it a go, this rig has a Satalite dome on it and receiver and 3 TVs so I need to track some cables to see which TV is set up for Satalite

The tv on our coach didn’t look like it articulated either, turns out the magnets holding it in place were super strong, which isn’t really a bad thing. A sharp tug on one end usually allows the tv to come right out!

"A sharp tug on one end usually allows the tv to come right out!"

Made me chuckle!! The thought of a sharp tug on anything RV makes my skin crawl. I have the 32" outside TV and don't know if it's suppose to swivel or not. I would be afraid of leaving a hole in the wall and a TV in my hands "with a sharp tug"!

The 31L has a rigid mount. The new Super C doesn’t swivel but does swing up to allow getting to the various connections.

I was thinking the same thing...
The question becomes: "Would you create a hole that's large enough for another window; or a garage door?"

When I said “sharp tug” I didn’t mean hard enough to pull the bumper off a semi!!!

A "sharp tug" with RV's is considered equal the force it takes to clip your fingernails.

Were you able to remove your outdoor TV?
We just bought a Freedom Elite 30FE. The outdoor TV seems to be ridgedly mounted but I can’t see any brackets or fasteners. I can pull the bottom of the TV out about an inch but the top is firmly attached.
I given as firm of a tug on the TV that I dare to see if there were any magnets or some type of clip in mounting.
No luck.

Ours has some pretty stout magnets holding it in place. Getting it loose the first time took a real leap of Faith...

Nope, tugged pulled, nothing. All I see it 2 brackets on top and 2 on the bottom screwed to the wall behind TV so I think I just have to remove the screws to gain access but I’m going to switch to an articulating TV mount.

. At least the pivoting mount should be easy to install.
Good luck!

We thought about replacing the mount in ours but could not find one that would fit. On our 31L there was just not enough depth. Plus, there really wasn’t anything behind the TV we needed to get to.

Ditto the sharp tug, not to worried about anything falling off. When it does, I just put it back together. I'm getting used to that on this coach. If I thought to much about how my coach was put together I would have to mount it under glass like a rare orchid.
