If you drop it down: you could add a side-loading ramp to it.

See, that would be perfect if I can fit TWO Mtn bikes in without taking the wheels off.

That's actually called a Mother-In-Law Suite...someone is just using it as a garage. I didn't anyone was doing this but that's exactly what I was talking about above.

I thought that the "Mother-in-Law Suite" was supposed to be towed behind you...

The Big Foot is as close to a mid-size garage as I’ve seen in North America. I posted this picture in one of the many threads discussing this subject. With a taller Class A the garage could be a little taller.

If garage is made large enough for many different types of toys, maybe then there would be enough combined demand for such a motorhome.

I would be the weight limitations is very low. The further you move rearward of the axle, the more amplified the factor is. But it's perfect for grills, bicycles, chairs, etc. I don't know if a four wheeler would work or anything over a few hundred pounds. Anyone know the numbers?

Thats sweet. I love to see Thor make an Axis or Vegas like this.

I never knew that those existed: I assume that they are out of production now?

I hope that by many continuing to bring this subject up, Thor will finally build an Axis similar to this Hymer. As long as they don’t make it much larger, I’d be all for it. Just KISS.

Not holding my breath though since we’re no closer after 4 years of suggestions.

With E-450, 1,000 pounds or more shouldn’t be a problem at all. The load will be much further forward than hanging a heavy Harley off the bumper, and some guys do that already. With F53 I’d expect 2,000 pounds easily if rear overhang is kept short.

I love that. Sweet..... But I would stretch it about 2 foot and have it around 94 inch wide like my Axis. 29 - 30 foot total length.

Lets build one! I would love to see a bodyshop take a wrecked Axis/Vegas and do this to it!

Thanks for all the photos.

I have seen your posts in the past so I will give you credit on this build.

Just send over $100K cash and I will have a shop convert mine. LOL Then I will put you name on the side of the RV. "Thanks for the Idea Chance" LOL.

Thanks, but not looking for credit — just wanting to keep the conversation active to see if we can influence Thor or other builders.

As I stated in other thread, it would be very easy and inexpensive for Thor to build a mini-toy-hauler by slightly modifying an Axis 24.1.

Have you actually drawn up anything approaching a blueprint. and sent it to Thor?
If you could pick out a chassis, and draw up something that could work on top of it: they might sit up and take notice...

I doubt that they would bite: then they would be liable for "stealing" his idea (yeah I know but that is how lawyers think) thus by sending in an idea you probably make it less likely that it will happen

If you remove the wheels, won't a mountain bike frame fit in the back under the slide in a 25.2? We are headed out this weekend for 6 weeks on the road. I'm gonna see if it works. I'd love to take my mtb.

It might - but I have the 25.4 floor plan.

Plus I dont want to have to take the wheels/tires off every time I have to haul the bike. Like to have TWO mtn bikes with me on long trips so that would be a lot of room and time tinkering with them. Plus they will be dirty when I come back from trail so its nice not worried about the mess it might make.

Right now I have a hitch rack but next year I like to pull a toad so I will have to see if that split hitch adaptor will allow both to work with the receiver hitch and my toad (I think it will work). Or put the bikes on the back of the toad.

I just deaming of the untimate Axis (for me).

Thanks.

Ya, this trip is just one bike. Next trip will be 2 bikes and a bike rack on the hitch. I've been cycling for 30 years so the wheels go on and off in less then a minute. I think the frame will fit right on top of our golf clubs.... lol
