No Water in RV

I am hooked up to city water yet no water will come out of any of the faucets in inside the RV. I have checked and the water is coming out of the city water spigot. I have a 2017 Thor Chateau and can not find the low point drain; I’m not sure if finding that is even relative to my issue. Two questions: 1-where is the low point drain located on a 2017 Chateau and 2- What else might be the reason for my issue? I appreciate any help.

Check your water valve positions

You must be set to pull water from your fresh water tank

I can pull water from my fresh water tank. I filled up fresh water tank and am using it because when hooked Up to the city water no water will flow from faucets. I should add that I have been using city water hookups with no problems until Friday when I disconnected water to take motor home in for the tires to be checked.

Many RV'S require you to change valve positions going from tank to city or the inverse

Check the panel and the valve positions versus the labels

Look inside the city water connection. Be sure there is a washer with the screen like in the picture. That screen pushes down an internal valve to allow the water from the hose to fill the RV lines. If that screen isn't there it won't push down the internal valve and no water will flow from the hose into the RV lines. The reason that valve is there is to shutoff the city water connection so that cold water doesn't shoot out the fitting when you use the water pump and water from the fresh water tank.

So city water was working fine until a tire service check and now, without any winterizing valve manipulation that you are aware of, no water flows when connected to city water.

Water system works fine when using the pump and onboard tank.

The only thing left is the integrated check valve in the city water connection. It's there to prevent the water pump from shooting water out of that connection. Remove the screen an inspect it closely and without the water pump on and the system depressurized try manipulating the valve:

EDIT:

I see Ed posted while I was composing.

In that picture above in post 7 the screen is facing out. It need to be the other way, facing in so that it pushed the valve while the hose fitting is tightened.

Sorry Ed, no. Water pressure is what opens the valve. Cone shaped strainers always have the cone facing the water source. here is a picture of my inlet I just took. The strainer would not even fit in if I tried to turn it around:

I will think they have no valves. At the start of you can see the "City Connection" later they show the other side of unit which shows the tank fill... all manual.
So I go with bevedfelker & 16ACE27 that it is the check valve in the city connection, unless it has some other silly check valve elsewhere.

I agree on all account on the check valve.

There is subtle distinction between City Connection and Fresh Water Inlet. The latter although may have different names is controlled by valves that divert city water to fill a fresh water tank or provide pressurized supply to fresh water line behind the pump.

Make sure your diverter valve is set for using city water vs fresh tank. Or you could possibly have a faulty check valve at the city water fitting.

Thanks for all the possibilities to check. I replaced the city connection valve and now have city water coming into the RV.

They must have really torqued those tires way too tight

It sounds one of the tire maintenance folks might have changed a valve position

Tire maintenance folks didn’t do anything. Those strainers fall out and are often installed backwards when they are put back in.
