Need to quit comparing RV industry to Auto industry and compare it to home building. Depending on price per sq foot you might get a well built house or you might get a POS. And again the inspection before signing is critical.

Exactly!! If you've never toured or spent any time in an auto assembly plant...you won't get this. I have a very close friend with GM...he's over "interiors". He took me on a personal visit to the Cadillac plant to witness my wife's car being built. Absolutely amazing process of double and triple checks on every piece and part that goes into the process. It's whisper quiet on the assembly line and music selected by that shift plays in the background. The rubber hammers they use for door molding installations have sensors in them to prevent to hard of an impact on the rubber parts...an alarm sounds. If the computers sense a single bolt or screw not getting torqued enough, it signals that vehicle to a special department after completion for inspection and corrections. RV's are built in a steel building, on the ground, by mostly unskilled warm bodies and pushed from stage to stage by people. I toured 3 Thor plants also. I think they could do a better job if they built them in the parking lot...with a little fresh air. BUT...until they develop and alternative method we will continue accepting what we get...everyone here bought one! As crazy as it sounds, we still love our 35SF...with all her faults. Bottom line, you just gotta be able to perform a thorough and proper PDI, not accept faults and promises and be able fix stuff. There is no comparison to these industries.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new rig. There's lots of really good information shared around this campfire.

As Judge says, just because you drop $200K doesn't mean you won't still have some work to do on an RV made by just about any manufacturer.

Not sure what your issue is with the emergency exit window but mine had tiny little screws holding the "red emergency handle". When I would attempt to open and re-latch, the little screws would pull out and then it would not latch properly and flop around - Not good. I replaced the screws with small stainless nuts and bolts - All good now. If that is your problem you might want to fix that and the door with Judges instructions while you wait for an appointment. Other things may come up in the mean time.

You're lucky you live near Wakarusa, its a 4,000 mile round trip for me.

Fix the little things if you can and enjoy. Get Thor to address the big things if/when they come up.

If the op had even slight interest in how to get the best out of their RV, she'd have been back by now.

This attitude/story is par for some folks.
Toaster to new shoes to $200,000 RV.
(And)
Why think $200,000 is some sort of quality denominator?
