Slide Question

We have a 2017 Thor Quantum WS31 with a full wall slide. When extended. the slide does not seem to go out all the way. Is the interior trim of the slide supposed to contact the gasket on the interior of the RV wall? Ours comes up about one inch short.

I extend my slide with the remote control while standing outside of the motor home. One of the ways I measure if the slide is completely out is by looking at the outside slide cover, if it is tight, not drooping, then I know the slide has fully extended.

This sounds like something that should be shown to your dealer...
If there's an adjustment needed: they're the ones that are probably best-equipped to do it.

Good luck!

I agree, but as it's a long way to get there, i'd like to know if i have an issue first.

In that case: I hope that the correct answer doesn't have to involve your dealership!

If you look on you tube there is a video on how to re sync your slide motors. If one side is out but the other isn't then they need to be re synced.

Just went back over to the RV. Extended the slide again and noted that though there is what appears to be light contact at the front, there is a solid metal bent shape at the rear which holds the slide back about 1 inch from the outside wall. The distance from the back of the wood trim to the outside wall at front and rear are identical. Guess that's the way it is supposed to be.

I have done the three times in and out, holding the button for 10 sec after each, so think the slide is synced properly.

Thanks for all the prompt replies, which gave me reason to go back to the MH and re check and reset.
