30FE storage bag under lower bunk bench
Hi everyone, new owner here. I recently opened up the lid to the storage space under the lower bunk in the bench(side with the small tv). I was a little surprised to find a few things and have no idea what one of them is!
Maybe you all can help me out here.
I found a nylon bag, pretty decent size, with a zipper and some strong Velcro. It's attached to the floor so I pulled the Velcro apart and I was looking down to the pavement of my driveway. What in the world is this bag there for?

Not huge but fully unfolded it is about the size of the storage area. I read on another forum that it was for storing wires but I have no idea if that's right or what wires?

I have the same bag in my 2017. I don’t remember what cables or wires are in there. I want to say it’s the TV wires and wiring for the slide: I can’t remember I just left that side alone figuring it’s working fine no need to mess with it.

Thor uses these "bags" to go around plumbing and wiring for the slides. As the slide moves the plumbing and wiring stay in place so the bag runs back and forth around it.
Unfortunately many times these bags do not seal well and there are large gaps where bugs, etc. can get into the coach.
I actually had my wife make some fabric panels with velcro sewed into them. I then attached some velcro to the bottom of the slide around the openings for the rollers, plumbing and electrical. When I have the slide out I attach the panels to cover the openings under the slide to keep bigs and critters out.

We have 2020 Thor 31y.
Has a bag like you describe under cabinets on slide out.
Took it out and adjusted it when we first bought the camper trying to learn everything.
Never an issue since.
Doesn't provide the best insulation on those 20 degree nights though.

I'd like to see a picture of the panels. I was trying to figure out how to cover mine.

It’s open to the pavement? I like Judge’s idea of the panels.

Having struggled with this problem off and on with one of our coaches (SOB) I concluded that the engineering of the whole plumbing in a slide thing was weak. I resolved to only consider coaches that limit slides to beds, couches, closets and dinettes. I found that there were quite a few choices along those lines and I think it’s a positive thing that manufacturers recognize the issue. Doesn’t help those of you who have to deal with it now but it might be worth considering for some readers who are considering a future purchase.

As others have stated, the primary purpose of the “bag” (actually a cover, since it is open on the bottom) is for the wires that pass through from the outside. It can also prevent a “critter” from crawling inside too, although a determined critter could just chew through the material.

I was poking around in that bench. I opened the seat, looked into the bench and was seeing the ground. I called Thor and here is what I was told about this bag. This slide is used in multiple configurations. There is either an outdoor kitchen or a wardrobe. With the kitchen, plumbing and power run through the bag. With the wardrobe, power runs through the bag.
