Thor knows they have quality problems, most of which result from trying to hit a price point sufficiently lower than the upscale brands. They know there is demand for a 30-foot, Class A for less than $100k and similar price points in the other product lines. Their dilemma is to figure out IF that's possible and HOW to do it. Asking us which nic-nacks we prefer is, in my opinion, not the solution.
Their focus needs to be on manufacturing methods to achieve higher initial quality and longer term reliability. Revise the business model. Make fewer models using improved methods. Offer their own extended warranties and work with dealers to reduce wait times when a problem does appear. The RV industry is chasing too many market segments requiring too many models.
WE are a big part of the problem. We want a Caddy for the price of a Kia. I don't think the future is bright for any company that makes a product that gets 9mpg packing an 80-gallon fuel tank. I'm over 70 and can afford fuel and repairs but I don't think the RV industry will look in 10 years anything like it does today. But that won't depend on which cooking devices come installed in the galley.
