Traded Outside TV for a Coffee Bar

My wife and I don’t watch TV but we drink coffee. So we thought, outside coffee bar!
Removed TV, tapped into the bathroom cold water line (just on the other side of the wall), installed a double jointed swing arm pot filler, installed a teak shower seat as a counter, used one of our favorite wall hangings from the house as a background, the only thing left is to mount the LED light strip. Now it’s more useful for us.

That is out of the box thinking!

Very cool!

My wife is already interested and I've sent her the post.

Any other details to share?

Thanks!!!

The pot filler needed to be mounted in such a way to clear the piston on the left side. It was roughly 1 1/2 inches for the pot filler we bought. This then required an extended 1/2 inch fitting to clear the frame and also not be too long where I couldn’t attach the water on the inside. Turns out a 4 inch was perfect. Very tight squeeze on the inside. I could barely get my hand in there to tighten the water line, so I fished the water line in from the outside. This was also a great time to install a double water shutoff valve for the bathroom sink and the coffee bar.

That is so much nicer than another freaking TV. Been thinking about doing a similar mod to my Hurricane but instead of a coffee bar it will be an induction cooktop.

That's a neat idea.
You've got 110 power there, and the cook top could easily store vertically in there.

I found the space ideally located for some solar switching and wiring, in addition to an inverter that powers selected outlets and one of the interior TVs.

With enough beer: you can't even turn on the TV!

That is a plus for your neighbors. I doubt that an espresso machine, even accompanied by a grinder, would be as annoying as an outdoor tv.

It is also safer for you, since some CG neighbors would see the TV as a well-lit shotgun target.

What to do with all the TV?

Great ideas here! Our 2018 Citation came with a TV in the bedroom, one in the living space above the outside door and finally another outside! Crazy waste of space and one’s time when outdoors! So far we have yet to turn one on.
I took the one out from the outside and store fishing gear there.
Plan to remove the one in the bedroom when I decide what to use the miniscule space for, maybe just a nice Rembrandt? Ha ha ha...not on my retirement!

Traded Outside TV For A Coffee Bar

I too have made a few changes in the TV compartments. The outside TV is now a place where I store my door mats and a portable folding step. The bedroom TV compartment is now some placed to hang clothes and a place to store magazines .

Traded Outside TV for a Coffee Bar

You guys are very creative! Impressively so. We had an outdoor TV on a previous coach and never used it, or even tried it to see if it worked! What a waste. So we just put it on our list of “must haves” for our next coach that there be no outdoor TV. Also no outdoor kitchen but that’d be another thread.
