Vinyl ceiling repair

This past summer we bought a 2010 Thor FourWinds, Chateau Citation 29BG and the previous owner had a leak in roof resulting in water damage to the front panel of the ceiling.

I thought the ceiling panel might be fixed by having that front panel replaced/repaired. A local RV repair shop said when the factory put in the ceiling, the ceiling was put in with the fabric stretched over the side. Then the roof was put on last so there is no easy way of fixing the panel.

Has anyone had any previous experience with this problem?

The vinyl panel is wrinkled and I thought perhaps a heat gun might shrink it back to a somewhat stock look??

Comments please, thank you.

A heat gun could just as easily swell the fabric. As they say with cleaning agent. try first in a spot not visible to see the results.

Pictures don’t really show up very well as it’s all white. You can feel the foam bumps whereas the other part of the ceiling feels smooth.
On the other hand how do u post photo’s as the icons in the message area are not user friendly. Google says to click on the attach paper clip but not there
