I'll make a predictable comment, that is predictable from me.

The OP made 2 basic mistakes and an additional failure of assumption.

Mistake #1. Buying a thor product.

Mistake #2. Buying anything except maybe a water hose from a CW.

Failure of assumption, that you assumed either thor or CW customer service would be responsive to your needs. Thor CS answers the simple stuff with mainly answers to "take it to a thor authorized repair facility". CS already has your money from the sale and are in no rush to do any warranty work because the reimbursement rate from thor is substandard. No I don't know what these rates are. At thor the response to a customers complaint and request for help vary with the time of day apparently.

I don't have any solutions for you in your plight but perhaps when the next RV looms in your future you will remember #1 and #2.

I'll summarize.

Sell it
Or
Live with it.

It's a cardboard shack.
Thor only assembled it and are good enough to wrangle the microwave and other warranties for a time.

I'm not being mean.
I'm not being nice.

I'm simply telling you EXACTLY what all of us know and live.

It's a new hobby, not a new Honda.

I take exception to the comment above. I bought a Camco Sewer hose from CW when RV was brand new, although we never use since we bought Flo Jet macerator pump; I have reason to believe it works well

My current #1 pet peeve with CW (besides the almost $7k estimate to set up my Toad) is that for some purpose or somehow, I always end up with a $10 merchandise certificate from CW. Every time I try to use them, they never work online. Once I called them and after about 30 minutes they got an order in for us with the discount. It cost me $70 to spend the $10 certificate

CW is there when I need them and usually within a
Fair where
Of where I need them.

I'm always glad to find one when I want one.

As an rv seller they're just pavement with purchasable vehicles sitting there for perusal/purchase.
The delivery and other details are entirely up to you just as it is with a Mercedes dealer.
The only way I wouldn't buy from CW would be if my needs weren't met just as if I was buying a sammich or a Henway or a gallon of milk.

Please consider the
'Gun to my head'
Analogy.

I just needed help stuck in a cow field road and they left us hanging 600 miles from home.

Thor left US hanging! They Suck!

You want to explain who is responsible for my crap box vegas that ate 3 windshields in 1.5 years. Found out thor jnew the issue on 2015 models and had paid for the 1st windshield that spidered from just driving the rig!

I bought 1 year old rig after reading on this board to do that cause most problems would be fixed! Haha

I have an 8 year warranty on our rig now and bad ass repair shop at the dealership! Thank god!

About to get LCI crap slide motors and rails replace for the 3rd time on living room slide that has no appliances on it!

And I can make a list of dozens of other issues that had to be repaired!!!!

I built 10 to 12 custom homes a year for the last 20 years and never had the issues of this wobble box crap thor builds!

U think my military customers cared where I got the materials from! My name was on the house!
My only issues ever was appliance's bought from Lowes!

Use to be owning a boat was a money pit! Ha
I have owned a dozen over last 30 years. Never had issues like owning a Thor

My parker 28ft never has issues like Thor! Probably cause they have badass QA!

Try again to save face with Thor.

Fyi! I love my rig setup. Just goes to shop all the time to fix Thors crapy build of products they buy off the shelf
Thor MC plant 750 builds slightly more than 3,000 coaches per year. There are 7 major products which have 5 to 7 floor plans each. Everyone of these coach is pre-ordered by a dealer before a coach build is started. The factory does QC the coaches, but it not as thorough dealer's PDI should be. QC includes a wet bay check for leaks, placing all the interior and exterior stickers for operation and safety. The QC personnel then weight each coach and affix the correct weigh sticker. Next they take the build sheet to check for colors and optional equipment is correctly installed. Fitment and operation only gets a cursory check. There is a correction station by QC where coach's defects found are corrected by the night shifts. Coach's are moved to a storage location awaiting for a dealer's designated driver to deliver the coach to the dealer. Coach's that leave the storage lot are considered sold and are the dealer's responsibility.

Thor MC does track the claims by VIN. The amount of warranty claims is a factory secret but I was lead to believe it was less the $800 a coach in 2018.
I suspect that amount has gone up considerably. I have watched hourly labor rated for RV repairs at non-dealer repair places go from $50 per hour in 1999 to the current $150 per hour today. To me any RV that is 30 ft long built on a Ford chassis should list in the $300,000 range. That Thor MC can actually deliver a coach for less than that amount is amazing to me.

I am a very old ME who loves to tour factories (Corning Glass, in Corning, NY is my favorite). My assessment on the coach I have and the coaches that attended the Florida, Mr. Sunshine rallies; is that Thor MC builds a good coach at an entry level price point. Is built as well as the Thor Industries coach that parks besides me at San Antonio's Air Force Village? No, it is not; but then an Entegra Cornerstone costing about 10 times what I paid for my coach is supposed to better built.
Just my thoughts on my coach and what I have personally observed.

I confess I used a "bit" of poetic license with the CW comment. I'll also admit to getting other things there out of convenience instead of waiting on Amazon or wallyworld to deliver a $7.95 part.

I actually had some good servicing from a CW in Dothan AL back in 2012. I had a blowout on a 5th wheel and they did the repair. Pretty straight forth and a decent repair. Some years later was getting another $7.95 part and I asked to speak to a service rep about an electrical issue. Previous DP. Can I say deer in headlights look for a rather simple issue. This was their electrical guru. Threshold for guru can be pretty low.

I understand about the "discount" and marketing. Early on I got a GS membership from a used coach I bought there. Seems every time I got that $7.95 part I got talked into renewing the membership. Membership will probably outlive me and I thinks it's a line item in my will.

Factory or museum? We were up there last year and went to the Corning museum, pretty interesting. Also went to the the Curtis Wright museum. If you are in WI, I suggest the Kohler factory tour.

Well back before Corning sold the Stuben name all the Steuben presentation lead glass table ware was blown in the museum's basement. Doesn't everyone need a lead crystal 30 lb punch bowl with a set of champagne flutes?.

As for the Curtis-Wrignt Museum that was a stop on a 2 week rolling UltraVan rally of the Finger lakes, NY in 2002. We spent3 days at Treman State Park in Ithaca touring Cornell's Campus (one of our members was a professor there). Of course a wine stop every day. We did Corning Museum before the rally and again during the rally.

Another rolling rally in 2009 around Lake Michigan for 12 days took us to the Harley Factory, Plymouth (for our fresh cheese curds), the Kohler factory (throne room) and up to Door County for a white fish boil. I tried to get a tour of the Manitowoc factory but none was available.

Welcome to warranty repair purgatory.
===================
I am familiar with the warranty work/issues as we had a 2011 Jayco Greyhawk 31FK for over 11 years. We had purchased from Albany RV in Albany, NY as the local dealer couldn't meet the price. Prior to that we had a hybrid travel trailer and prior to that a small pop-up so I've been around a bit.

But previously customer service (although not 'perfect') seemed much better than now. Maybe it's the current CW we purchased from. Maybe it's the general society now as it seems ever since the COVID shut downs there is a strain on work ethic as well as a strain on the number of people in the workforce so companies are constantly stretched. It just seems like a large chunk of the population 'dropped out' and aint coming back.

We loved our Jayco Greyhawk it was just getting time to refresh. We looked for a couple of years as nothing seems 'perfect' fit. We do like the upgraded F-600 Ford Chassis (Turbo Diesel) as it tows the car effortlessly.

The Thor Team who PM'd me stated that they will be assigning a customer service specialist. I'm hopeful that it helps with our issues.

Part of the story from CW is that Thor changed their warranty system/software so it messed a bunch of things up (and they probably didn't have anyone to train or learn how to use it). They are also a week behind on their service dates so even when you drop off the rig they can't get to it (not sure why they even have dates?).

I'm hopeful things are going to be addressed but not 100% assured things will go smoothly. As we all know, the "issues" with any RV chart like a bathtub. Start out high then decline/level off and later near the end start climbing again.

Will provide updates when I know them

We did some of those same things and a few more.
In Manitowoc there was a maritime museum that we went through plus an example of the type submarines made there in WWII. In 2018 we stayed at the Marina/RV park at Two Rivers, basic but nice. Next year we may go back for round 2.

Dr Detroit, we are looking at th xg32 and SV34 as we like the platform and looks etc. I realize you have only had this a short time but would you buy it again? We had a 29' Jayco Greyhawk prestige before our A.. liked the layout for most part just hated the screaming v10 was so noisy.. How do you compare cab noise of jayco to Magnitude?
Id love to any and all love it and hate it comments. Pls and thanks in advance

CW after sales service is awful

Camping worlds after sales service is awful, even our delivery of our MH was awful.
If you have twitter put a bad review out and tag them, it was the only way I got some simple warranty issues resolved.
Never got the slow refueling resolved though.
I won’t set foot in the place anymore

I called Thor Warranty to see if the parts were ordered yet as our next monthly appointment at CW is this thursday (7/20/23). They said only one item has been ordered. I then called CW to confirm the service appointhemt and the parts status and they said it was on order from Thor ?!?!?!?!

Does anyone know if there is an elevated customer service team at Thor that can help cut through the BS and assist us with getting CW to work on our rig? I know everyone is "understaffed" but what the heck ever happened to customer service??

Even CW doesn't havey ANY customer service. They are the only Thor dealer in the whole state of Massachusetts (three locations).

Thanks for any insight provided.

As far as cab noice I think it is quieter in the SV34 than the 31FK Greyhawk. I think though part of that could be that the Greyhawk chassis was a 2010 E450 V10 and the chassis of the SV34 is a 2022 F-600 Diesel. Also, as a new model Ford it has all the nice bluetooth, Nav, etc. itmes that the prior one didn't have.

We shopped for our next rig for a few years never really finding the 'perfect' one (if that exists - we did with the 31FK but Jayco stopped that floor plan in 2017).

The SV34 is definitely an upgrade from the Greyhawk. It seems like now the Jayco prestige trim line is now what was the old Greyhawks were as now they have Redhawk, etc.

One of the best things is the towing of the car - the turbo diesel pulles the car effortlessly - even in cruise control. The E450 would kick into high rev's on any sort of incline. Motor only had 74k on it when we turned it in but the diesel definitely has more pulling power.

The inside is very nice as far as MH go. We weren't super keen on the fact that the slide has to be out to fold the bed flat (in case we boondock) or to load the rig for a trip as well. The 31FK was easly to load/move around in when the slide was in.

SV34 king bed is shorter than a true king bed but as I'm short not a big deal. Has much more inside storage than the Jayco. Outside is about the same but the Jayco had a huge real passthrough storate (but we probably packed way more than we needed or used anyway).

Not a fan of the instant on water heater. Touch the shower faucet slightly and the water temp swings. If the hot water goes to low the thing turns off and you get a nice cold shower for about 10 seconds. Would have preferred a tank WH. Maybe we can upgrade later on. BTW the shower is not real roomy and the water controller sort of sticks out so you don't have much room to manuver in their - esp trying not to bump the handle.

SV34 has a nice large pantry. Fridge is larger than our house one. Not sure we'll ever fill it on a trip.

Have a list of items to be fixed but now that we have the Thor connection I'm hopefull it can be addressed correctly and timely (fingers crossed).
