I contacted Thor CS and received a reply on 4/10/23 regarding this drain issue and was fairly quickly offered a reasonable out of warranty reimbursement. Will post back here when I receive it.

Morning All, thanks for all your posts. I really appreciate your sharing and find these threads interesting and somewhat entertaining. We presently have a Fleetwood Pace Arrow 40' and was looking to downsize to a Super C and considered the Thor Omni or Magnitude. Honestly we have been around RVs a long time and realize sometimes just easier to fix it our selves. i.e. leveler problems( sensors and solenoids) water connection loosening up etc. and have always subscribed to having to be and should be a handi man to some point to own a MH or Travel Trailer and sometimes its half of the fun. BUt some of this scares the humor out of me thinking of buying a Thor.. We found the perfect one for us but dealer is trying to beat us bad on $ on a deal. and after reading this maybe we just keep on busing with our A and call it a day.. Thanks Ya'll!

Downsizing might be tje right way to go but there are other manufacturers than Thor. I'm not sure if they have similar issues but...its a huge market out there. Thor designs a great product. They just miss it with the build and QC process. Huge volume and piss poor labor pool in that area can't be overcome. Workers jump from factory to factory weekly and no one has/takes the time to properly train them...and there's no penalty for doing wrong. Thor pushes their quality problems on to the dealer network and they turn around and kick us...the dogs. I would look for other models/manufacturers that build in other parts of the country...if that exists. Until people quit buying them, nothing will change.

It does but not many. Biggest of the bunch is Winnebago in Iowa, some trailer places in Oregon, Pleasure Way?? in Canada and a few smaller ones. Other than that since the parts supply chain is in IN, everyone gravitates to there. Factory QA and QC makes a huge difference in what the quality is coming off the line. While Renegade isn't perfect by any means, they far surpass any TMC product. Costs a bit more maybe but worth it.

Much appreciate your comments. main reason for down sizing is wife never got used to the fish bowl up front.. We have had several As and she thought this one seemed better. However just need see what else is out there. I do love that ford chassis however LOL.. I do love the duramax and Renegade ALOT but may be above my budget as we don't use coach a ton but love the convenience.

Donít rule out Jayco, Entegra or Tiffin. Although they fall under the Thor Industries umbrella they are not In anyway managed by Thor Motor Coach who is the target of the majority of complaints on this forum.

Above all do your homework and research.

So do you guys think Thor has gotten any better? are the 23 magnitudes ( new on lot) still riddled with issues?

Wishful thinking at best. As long as the dealers buy the units TMC will not change. Dealers will continue to buy as long as they can find folks gullible enough to buy and drive off the lot in a piece of crap that includes a list of items ďweíll take care of that laterĒ items.

For some reason I always associate them with towable and not motorized.

Coming from the fishbowl, you've gotten used to standing up from the driver's seat and walking back. The F550 set up involves rolling over, crawling out from under the wheel and finding several thing to pull yourself up to the walking position...not to mention getting back there. We went to the Sprinter chassis as this feature was a plus. Going from an A to a Sprinter probsbly isn't in your cards but start with that feature...its a big one.

Well said. The younger, healthier, smaller you are the more doable that crawl is. I'm 5'7", not young but in good shape and it was awkward to say the least. I can't imagine someone 6'3" 275# even trying. That feature of the omni was an inconvenience but all the C's built on the pickup chassis will be the same. Thor, Dynamax, and Renegade all have their versions with I imagine equally problematic crawling front to rear. Another thing about those class of motorhome is the amount of house lost due to truck cab. A pickup nose is long. Those on the Freightliner S2RV chassis like the Renegade Valencia, Jayco and Entegra models like the Accolade have much more house for a given length. My Valencia is about 3' longer than my past omni but has 6-7' more house due to the cab shape and house to cab configuration. Makes a big difference.

As a dealer I disagree. I found them to be arrogant and not helpful. They didn't have much inventory when I was there except a bunch of used. They demanded either a 10 or 20% down before they would order or bring in something. NON refundable. 2 hours of our time wasted except we saw how they were. I have read on a couple different forums that their service department is sort of CW like, i.e. pretty bad.

They were fine on the sales side in our experience. Service was competent but extremely backed up, which introduced us to the concept of Thor dealer warranty repair purgatory. It’s actually a relief to be out of warranty, and if we need service that we can’t do ourselves we’ll take it to our preferred RV shop in Mansfield.

Wow. After $1000 deposit we flew in.
Pickup at airport.
Cold water.
MH with our name on it.
Everything running. Anything we found fixed right away.
Drove off
