XG32 wiring issues

When I was inspecting underneath my XG32 I found what looks like the coach ground wire not connect to the chassis. first picture shows large green wire coming from under the bed. Second picture shows it is just a loop and not connected to anything.

Typically the coach 12v system uses a white wire as ground... at least mine is. Usually, but not ALWAYS, a green wire is ground in an AC circuit.

Does the wire go through the floor in a plastic wire loom? Looks like it's just looped around frame members... maybe someone was using it as a temporary zip tie?? Where are the ends?

On closer inspection, it does look like it goes up through the floor... go in the coach and find where it emerges from underneath.

Agree with previous post. That looks like an AC circuit ground wire and not a 12V fround wire.... especially based on how my SV34 is wired.

It could be a ground from the generator or other circuit..... but I would expect it to typically be bundled with the hot and neutral wires in a conduit or loom.

For 120V wiring green is earth ground and white is common. The wire goes into the coach under the bed. One end goes into the load center. I suspect as the earth ground connection. I will need to remove the load center front panel to confirm. The other end is connected to the case ground point of the inverter. In the schematic there is a note saying "Ground recepts used & system bonded to Chassis". The schematic also shows that the transfer switch should also be grounded but I do not see that connection.
I am going to connect the green wire to the chassis ground lug that is located right under the bed. I suspect this is how is was intended to be used

Judge, if you have a chance can you see if your SV34 has a green wire coming out from under the bed and connected to the chassis?

Just crawled under my SV34. I don't see any ground wire like that exposed beneath the coach.... front or rear.

All of my AC wiring is in grey flexible conduit. The remaining wires are all 12V and I see no green gorund wires anywhere (just black or white for grounds / negative).

The only place I have seen that wire is in my electronics bay. I am very familair with it because I added a hardwired Progressive Industries EMS.

On my XG32 there are 2 large gauge green wires coming through the floor in the area between the propane tank and mainframe member. They are connected together to a ground lug on the frame. Under the bed what I think is the same wires, one goes to the converter and the other to the main electrical box at the top.

EDIT adding, there isn't any looping around underneath with this wires. Where they come down through the floor it's sealed up with the expanding foam like in your picture then both go pretty much straight to the frame ground lug. Lug is on the outside, propane tank side of the frame.

Thanks Chuker21,
Your underbed wiring is the same as mine and both lines are grounded to the chassis frame. That was the confirmation I needed. Mine is now also grounded to the chassis frame.
The TV coax is also dangling and not connect to the port on the side of the motor home. The coax cable is too short to reach the outside port.

Wonderful wiring they do. The HDMI cable to the main TV has the plug ripped off with just bare wiring. It was tucked out of sight behind the window valance. Of course this cable goes into the slide and somehow emerges in the cabinet above the seating to the HDMI splitter. Of course that also means I can't connect that TV to the Dish receiver unless I run another cable. I'll do that temporarily until they figure out how they are going to repair it. COAX to the OTA antenna is OK.

It's a good idea to check all wiring you can get to, especially under the rig.
My main white loom coming from the batteries was resting against the exhaust pipe (smelled burning plastic and pulled over). Other places had 5-10' of extra wire wrapped up and tied but left hanging down from the frame. Also found loose connections.

My side marker lights weren't working-the blue crimp connectors corroded and the wires broke off when I touched them. Replaced with heat shrink crimps. I also think the 2 GA wire they have coming off the battery and going to the BIM is too small for my use ( I have two inverters and the power draw when driving with both ACs running is too high-I'll be replacing with 2/0 cable once it gets cooler).

I have a 2022 Quantum JM31 and 3 of the ends on my HDMI cables have come off. Inferiors cables to start with but will be next to impossible to run replacements.
