23TW-How do you remove the TV over the doorway?
So, I have this idea to replace the fixed mount for the TV over the doorway with a swivel and extending mount that locks for transportation.
Problem is, I can't see how the TV comes off the stock mount, how it disengages from the fixed mount it's on.
I can feel a couple of metal paddles sticking up in the back, but I am not brave enough to push very hard on them.
Anyone have any thoughts on how to remove the 32" TV over the main door in our rig? I'd bet the mount is common to a number of similar layouts, so someone has got to have done this before!
Thanks!

Most Thor 32" over the door TVs are on a fixed mount at the top, and a latch mount near the bottom that is released by two lanyards tucked up behind the TV. Pull the lanyards to release the latches, swing the bottom of the TV away from the wall and lift it off the upper mount.

I generally call them “paddles”
Slide both hands under and locate the two paddles, straddling the center
Push/pull paddles towards front to unlatch
Then once unlatched, rotate TV froward & lift TV up and off entire mount

Duckface, the mount you show that you used, is it a locking type? If not, do you use a strap to keep the TV from bashing around while driving?
I selected a much heavier mount with a beefy locking mechanism and wonder if it's overkill for the application and size of the TV.

It tightens down with thumbscrews at each joint.
I really don't like it much.
It's a pain to xl2ose up for travel and reach behind and tighten three lock.
I can't find better though.
All three of my tv's had tie downs when I got the 24.1
I think a couple of harbor freight bar magnets would serve me better than those damn thumbscrews.
I haven't bothered to fix it because we never use it. Only once I can't think of.
We tend to nest in the bedroom.

I tried, but blood just isn't an effective lubricant...
SO, I took all the advice and patted down the TV in our Gemini. Up and down the sides, along the bottom, started at the top and worked down, just about every angle I could think of and get to...and no joy.
The TV mount is boxed in and there is really limited room to get my mitts back behind the set. I took off my watch, took off my jacket (it's like 15 degrees in the coach...), and really tried to find the paddle things to press on. While I was there, I felt for any lanyard thingies to no avail.
I *think* I can see one of the paddles from underneath the set, but it might as well be on the Moon. My hand and arm just do not fit in far enough to touch it. I am about ready to throw in the towel and let the dealer take care of it next week when I bring the rig in for a little post-sale TLC.

Hand not needed.
A ruler or wooden spoon will do it.

I took the easy way out.
I handed the mount to the service folks at my dealer and they figured it out! Now we pull the lanyard and the TV can be pulled out to allow the person sitting on the other side of the dinette to see the full TV without craning their neck! Tried and passed muster this past weekend...
