Exactly.
There are a lot of mechanical and dash/electronic changes (let’s call them upgrades though some may prefer previous design) that are not scheduled to go into production until 2022 Model Year ProMaster this fall. I would guess by time RV manufacturers get their hands on 2022 van/chassis, build them, and they get to dealers, it may be Spring in 2022 calendar year or later. RV manufacturers may be producing 2023 motorhomes by then.
Mechanically the big changes I noticed most are new-to-ProMaster 9-speed transmission, electrical power steering, and upgraded engine which combine for up to 9% improvement in fuel economy. I personally expect highway MPG improvement to be less than 9% but hope that 9% could represent up to 1.5 MPG. Without a good test drive, it’s difficult to know if these are significant upgrades. I hope they are.
For RV conversions the electrically-actuated parking brake could also be useful.
Dash is a lot more modern, and with some capabilities I will likely not need or perhaps even want. Overall most electronic upgrades sound really good though.
