2022 Thor Sanctuary PD

I just put a deposit on this awesome looking camper van. Scheduled for delivery in late July. There is not much on the internet so if anyone has info or photos, I would love it if you could share.

Welcome to the forum. New users with post that contains links are moderated for the first 4 or 5 posts so there may be a delay from the time you post until the post shows up until a Team Member can review and approve the post. A necessary evil to try to reduce SPAM here.

When will you pickup your new rig?

Well that explains it but with the conversion is only $4K less than what I paid for my Magnitude two years ago.

It is a very cool looking Class B that has a lot of versatilty but man...... that is some serious money for an RV of that size.

Did you get the lithium package?

I did not get the lithium package. I don't think I need it right now as I won't be boon docking for extended periods of time.

Maybe a good thing, we bought a Tranquility 19L a month ago with the 400Ah lithium package and it won't charge off the dedicated alternator -- big problem, back to the dealer for who knows how long.

Perhaps manufacturers will finally start to disssociate size and cost.

Historically most “nice” RVs were limited to large rigs, and smaller rigs were seen mostly as the answer to low-cost, budget, or entry level. I’m guessing that is still the case for most buyers, but there are more exceptions as the downsizing trend continues. I agree that there is a limited market for vans costing over $200k, but those few are the counterparts of luxury diesel pushers; except for buyers who value smallness.

Class Bs do tend to be expensive to buy for their size, in large part because it takes a lot of labor to build an RV inside a metal shell with curved walls and ceiling. An obvious solution to lower costs while keeping motorhome small is to build a very narrow B+ that is essentially the size of a van. That seems to be a growing trend in Europe based on the numbers I saw while watching Le Tour de France. Maybe we will see more in USA that copy that approach like Winnebago did with Ekko.

Like they say, the best things come in small packages. Granted, that’s very subjective.

Both the Winnebago Revel and the outlander cost every bit of $200K USD

We just picked ours up and it looks like we're having the same problem. The battery is not charging off the alternator. Did you get your problem resolved and if so, how?

Thanks is advance!

I did end up getting the lithium package and have the same problem. Part is on back order. It’s a pain especially if dry camping.

Thanks for the info. Can you tell me what the problem is so I can relay it when I call in to the dealer?

It’s the controller for the second alternator. Not sure what the issue but it has to be replaced.

I am just not seeing any reason for not just going with AGM batteries with a generator ... but that is just me.

I can’t see why you wouldn’t be perfectly happy either. The van is awesome and all configurations are perfectly suitable. I am glad I upgraded because I get a lot of power for a long time with the lithiums without the noise of the generator. But it really does depend on your own power needs.
