2024 Tranquility 2nd Alternator

Purchased a new 2024 Tranquility.

Loud noise from engine (after 2000 miles) Took to Mercedes and they said it is the 2nd alternator.
- what would cause this
- is it safe to drive
- can this be “turned off” until I get get to a repair center?

You're a beta tester.
Mercedes probably won't touch it past the diagnosis.
Almost any thor dealer will let the roof sealant guy work on that charging system because he's the only one to show up to work that day.

It is not a good place to be.

I'm not sure any of the dozens of folks who've had this problem has ever bothered to follow up with us.
Please be better than them and keep us lock-stepped along with your progresses.

A real chance of burning it all to the ground if the Mercedes guy moved a wire (or didn't move a wire).
Did Mercedes not tell you anything or give you any guidance at all?
