Gas costs for my recent 1780.1 Tellaro Trip

Hello all, just figured some who were looking at a class B would be interested in the gas costs of one of these rigs.

We have a 2022 Tellaro 20LT and made the trip from Palm Beach to a friends farm in Greeneville Tn. The total mileage for our weeklong trip was 1780.1 miles.

We left on 7/23 and filled up Tallula at the Costco about 5 miles from home. First fill up 11.791 gallons. We drove 245 miles before stopping for gas where she took 14.918 gallons for 16.42 Mpg. The next stop was 290 miles further up the road where she took 17.551 gallons for 16.52 Mpg. The next stop before getting to my friends farm was 207 miles away, we put in 13.003 gallons for 15.92 Mpg. There was a little generator use during the first leg of this trip when we stopped for the night, and little engine idling when running into a store or two along the way.

Once in Greeneville we did a little site seeing and looking at property for a future retirement home. We filled up once while there adding 13.268 gallons. I didn’t track individual miles for this portion of the trip.

On our way home our first fill up took 19.302 gallons. We than drove for another 312 miles and added 17.91 gallons for 17.36 Mpg.

The average miles per gallon was 16.56, not too bad for a mix of highway and mountain driving.Click image for larger version

Gas cost on Sequence/Tellaro

Hey thanks for the confirming information. I had very similar results also on highway and in mountains from Michigan to Maine and back. Cheers

Talking

: Great mileage.
We don't bother to calculate gas mileage, it's depressing. We watch the gauge and start looking to fill at a half tank or so.
Several motorhomes ago I asked a salesman what kinda gas mileage the rig we were looking at got, he looked at me and laughed a bit. Then he told me something I have never forgotten "if you are worried about gas mileage you might want to find a new hobby".

Now a days those Class B's you guys are driving get better mileage than a lot of the big SUV's.

Delivery Trip Gas Mileage

We drove our 2022 Tellaro from Alvarado, TX to State College, PA last month. Including a stop in IL see my sister, we drove 1874 miles starting and ending with a full tank, and bought 115 gallons. My spreadsheet says that's 16.3 mpg. I am very pleased. When we owned a travel trailer and towed with a pickup, I got somewhere around 12.

I seem to use about 1500 gallons of gas most years. Obviously if gas goes from $3 to $4 it’ll cost me $1500 more per year. It’s not insignificant but it’s not enough to keep me from traveling. If it goes above $6-7/gallon I’ll need to stay closer to home. Which means we should get out and see the country NOW before it gets too costly. Planning to go to Montana in the spring!?

When on the road fuel is my #1 cost

Camping fees is second

Food is third

Medical is the number 1 fixed cost

As cost go up something will have to be adjusted

Sad that here we are being forced to pay so much more for fuel (and everything else) all by the stroke of a pen. For a reason that makes no sense, but to the ones that will profit the most from it.
