I think it's from BMPRO which is the tablet app that links to rapid camp. But can't find download anywhere so I'm going to call the company today. I really doubt if dealer can help me on this one.

The good thing that will come out of this is knowing that if the electronic control app messes up you have know way of closing slide outs. Better to find that out while it's still in the driveway.

Lots of good information here! I have read most of the 81 pages of great information. I have been looking at this camper:

https://rv.campingworld.com/rvdetail...0k-SYU1842312Z

Is there anything specifically people do not like about these 2017 models? I noticed some said there was some build quality issues.

Propane habits:

Before the 4-Winds we had a little Rialta that had a 3 way frig. It ran on battery until we parked & switched to propane or plugged into power. Not a great frig, but now I have the one that says "Auto" or "Gas". I plug into power the week before a trip to load the freezer & frig and do have to switch the control to Gas when I unplug. Sometimes it takes turning on the gas to the stove to get it moving fast enough. That little green light blinking warns me when the frig didn't understand the change over.

I've never turned the propane off when driving or putting gas into the vehicle, have I just been lucky it didn't blow up? I am serious, have gotten pretty comfortable with this routine but would change if risky. Thanks for advice.

When I'm required to turn off pilot light that just means:

1. Turn off refrigerator
2. Turn off water heater

Right?

Then just close lp tank.

To turn back on after refueling, etc, open lp tank and when I turn frig back on it automatically lights pilot in frig.

Thanks for feedback
From a safety perspective you’ve got it. Even though there are safeties built in running with the main propane valve off is safest. If a leak occurs or a line snags there is nothing feeding it. It’s not a big chore turning it on or off!

I’m sure there are a number of people here who have many thoughts on this.

One thing that we did add that has reduced a ton of grime under the front doors and toward the coach doors are the Ford wheel well liners and front door steps. One of our better moves. (You can tie the dog leash to the door step!)

We have the Weathertech window screens for our Compass 23 TB on the Ford 350 HD
and the side windows fit perfectly but the front screen had and opening around the rear view mirror, so she made up a piece out of reflextix and cut and fit a piece, and its held in place with velcro strips along the sides.

PS If anyone is interested I can post a list of extras and add ons I have installed in our 2018 Compass 23 TB

Here we go
Running Boards, spare tire, rim and hitch mounted carrier,
Changed water heater to 6 gallon Suburban
Weathtech Window screens (sides and front)
Two level storage shelves above sofa fastened to shelf
Waterdam Shower water retainer (keep water from getting on the floor)
Shower curtain that dries quickly and new hooks
Towel support rods( Holds the towel rods away from the door so dry quicker) We made them from 1 inch square pieces of wood and stained to match the door)
Oxygenics RV shower head
Installed shelves in hanging closet with `L` brackets attached to 2x2 lumber as legs)
Fold up drink holders next to sofa as there was no where for my wife to put her glass of wine
Command Hooks wherever we felt we needed them
Fire extenguisher in bedroom
150 Watt Inverter that plugs into 12 volt outlet for charging portable power pack and other devices (CPAP Machine Battery)
Custom made dining table out of pine and collapsible legs (did not use as of yet)
Board that fits across the external storage compartment for extra storage options
Planning on Big Foot levelers when the US border opens

I have had a similar issue where one TV has 6 channels ( living area) and the other has 8 and in my case the bedroom tv has more channels , have not used the outside tv other than to watch movies. Its strange as they are all the same make

When taking delivery on a new rv should the PDI happen before signing financing paperwork?

Sales agent mentioned doing paperwork first.
Cheers!

In my experience you have usually signed the deal and unless there are huge problems with the PDI its yours, but I would think you could put in a disclaimer on the contract saying that the deal is not valid if the PDI is not satisfactory somewhat like a home inspection. Just my humble opinion.
Take your time on the PDI and do not let them rush you, it should take a couple of hours and have your phone or camera ready on video

Gm all,
Are you able to walk on the roof of a 2020 Compass TW? Any limitations?

Also, what are folks using to maintain their foberglass roof, so the caulking doesnt dry out.

Delivery for our unit got pushed to tomorrow.

Cheers!

I used Dicor for the roof of my previous RV and just kept it washed 2 times a year and clean of debris. Also, I'm looking into the 2021 model and I did notice you can walk on the roof but it can be a little bit of a trick due to all the items up here so while you can do it be careful.
