Gray water drain issue

Hi there!
I've got a 2017 Gemini 23tr. My gray water won't drain! It's full- I can even see the water standing when I pull the valve.. Black water drains fine.
Is this a gravity issue, or something else?

Secondly, do you run the drain hose thru the bottom of the rv? Does the connection elbow pivot in any way?

Thanks in advance!

It sounds like your valve just simply isn't opening when you pull the lever.

It's open, and no issue with in or out.

How do you know it's open?
If you consider that maybe it's a gravity problem, have you raised one end of the vehicle?
If new to you can you call the previous owner for exact information?

If you can see water when you look into the open valve your tank has dislodged and is falling out and leaning precariously to its rear or you're at a horrible angle.

The tank actually/usually has a valve set just slightly lower by means of a slant or channel, than the tank bottom.

Pictures would help a lot, elsewise you need more details.

But from what you state it has to be something else if you can see standing water, and you say the valve is open when you pull it?

I would love to see what you see as water standing with valve opened?

My question as well.

Sturm, i have a 16 TR so should be the same. You have 2 grey tanks and no way to “see” into them. You also have 2 small and 1 large grey drain handles. Pulling open the large grey handle drain without opening the smaller ones will not allow greys to drain. All 3 greys and black are in that compartment. The outlet connection does pivot down so you can connect drain hose thru the large bottom compartment hole.

Thank you! The outlet connection does not budge. Glad to know it should be moving.

I can see water in the pipe, not the actual tank.

Also just an FYI, on mine i removed that compartment door and frame and turned it so the door opens up and bought a door retainer to hold it up. That way it is not in the way when trying to connect sewer hose. Also i peeled the decal off the outside of the door as it no longer lines up. Looks fine and never even notice it.

This was helpful! Thank you!
Apparently, I wasn't puling hard enough on the two smaller valves. I'll know better next time!

We had a Grand Design trailer which had two gray tanks. NO MENTION on PDI, and me , as a green horn rookie, didn't find the second handle until our third trip!

Same on my 2022 Delano TT, only one black tank but 2 valves to pull to get black water out. Nothing in the manual or the PDI.
