Now I have to find the place on the inside of the coach where this cable jack is accessible because on the outside of the coach it is directly behind the toilet. What a design.

The "cable" connection outside goes to the booster which splits the antenna or cable signal to only 1 connection to your TVs.
If you pull the booster you'll find 3 connections, 1 is input from the antenna, 1 is input from the outside cable connection, both of these are on 1 side of the booster & the 3rd on the opposite side of the booster is signal output for both antenna & cable which goes to a splitter hidden in the ceiling or wall sending signal to bedroom & living room tvs. If you can find the splitter check it that the input from the booster & outputs to tvs are connected to the appropriate connections on the splitter.
There will not be separate connections from the antenna & cable ran to the back of the TV's, only 1 cable from the splitter. If your coach is satellite prepped there should be separate cables behind the TV's for that to an outdoor connection somewhere.

I cannot get any cable tv channels on the tv in our Freedom Elite. I have the cable plugged into the outside, have the tv on HDMI 1/cable but when I scan there is nothing. What am I doing wrong?
(I am betting Bob Denman knows exactly what to do!

Turn your antenna booster off might be in cabinet over sink or microwave

I normally just watch OTA channels and don't worry about cable. I don't have cable or satellite at home base so never miss it. My coach has 3 Seki TV's. All seem to work fine for OTA. I have used the cable when Grandchildren are with us but if not, its just plain TV.

We're lucky to even get static over the air...

Follow the wire
It probably says something about my TV habits but, after owning the rig for a few years, I recently plugged in to watch a soccer match on cable. Nothing there. I pulled panels and sure enough, found a coax that had been pulled from its connector. Simple fix.

Obviously something isn't connected, but haven't dug into it deep enough yet to determine the issue.
Different than you though...our booster is on.

Booster should be OFF when hooking up to campground cable. Booster is on when using antenna to scan for stations.

possible fix
Make sure in the menu option of your TV you have switched from "air" to "cable."

In my Thor coach, to watch cable TV, i use the coax connection to the TV, not the HDMI. Be sure the switch [small button with light on the cable input connection] in in the off [unlighted] position. When the switch is lighted, the cable connection is to the roof antenna.

Try setting your set to "TV" input not HDMI. Then go to settings and select auto program to search for cable channels.
