Just to help you not feel stupid....

I'm fortunate to have an RV garage for the new Tellaro. To walk in and out of the RV garage, I don't open the door the whole way. You already know where this is going.

I have the Tellaro backed in and I'm messing around Saturday in the garage. After about an hour, I hop up in the cab and start it up to pull it forward. I had opened up the garage door enough for it to be above my sight sitting in the cab, so I looked forward and didn't give it a thought.

I start to pull forward slowly as usual and I hear a small thunk-thunk-thunk.

As it's thunking..... I'm thinking what the heck....and then it dawns on me...I slam the brakes.

I get out with the gravity of this sinking in ......and the front rubber antenna was working its way under the RV garage door edge. Had I continued, I'd have taken out my garage door and most of the stuff on the roof. As it was, I was spared any damage at all.

I couldn't believe it. My wife could, but that's another story.

I'm grateful for that little antenna.

The antenna height on my rv was changed to announce when I'm two inches or less above my ac and roof vents.

Change yours and use it as a real aid instead of the accidental aid it was.

And
I found out the hard way how a 24.1 is tapered, nose to tail.
The nose cleared my garage banister so i focused elsewhere since the threat was gone.
The rear did not clear.
No damage done to either but I had to dismantle the rail and banister to unmarry the rv from it all.

Since we're kinda sorta talking garage/garage doors:
Do you guys know about these?
Adds up to a foot of vehicle clearance.
So quiet. So clean looking, so compact.
It works just fine on my 12x13 big door too.

By "these" I assume you mean a Side-Mount Garage Door Opener (Wall mount)?

Sorry.
Yes, the side mounts in the link.
It makes climbing on the roof of the rv painless instead of adding more dance steps to it all.

Very nice update from the traditional opener
