Medicine cabinet sequence/Tellaro

Anyone else have a problem with med cab door flying open with left hand turns on sequence or Tellaro 20L? I have nothing in the med cab but the maginet doesn’t hold. Swung open last time I took for a quick drive. Now the glass is cracked in 3 spots all the across the mirror. Any tips or tricks? Maybe some sort of child safety strap?

Everybody seems to have that issue.

I added a few extra cabinet door magnets, eventually they fell off...looking for the next 'best' solution.

Did your mirror break? I sent Thor a message. Hopping they can send new door so I don’t have to drive an hour away to general Rv and wait for for an appointment to get glass replaced.

Also noticed one of the drawers under the micro is missing the magnet that holds it in. One has It one doesn’t. Quality!

Of course, Thor decided one would be enough and it's cool to have your stuff just flying all over the place...

As long as you are digging into stuff, the 'fake' panel below the sink actually come off. It has the same mounting as the fuse box and inverter doors. I removed those and added these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It's a lot of dead space that can be used for odds and ends...as long as they are big enough not to end up behind the fridge.

Great idea. Good spot to hide things.

Thanks for the reminder. I need to get my medicine cabinet door secured before it breaks. I'm also on the hunt for something to hold items better on the upper shelf of the cabinet. The lack of a lip or bar across the shelf means things come flying out when I open the cabinet after a drive. But of course that only happens if the cabinet didn't already fly open and dump its contents.

Yep, like the toothbrush in the toilet...been there. Finally, found a little holder that I mounted with blue command strips inside the sink cubby

Sent Thor customer service a message last night and received a response this morning asking for a picture of the broken mirror. Hopefully they will just send me a new mirror and I will install myself. Honestly wasn’t expecting a response so fast.

I had the same problem. I used a child safety latch. It’s been on for over a year, still going strong.Click image for larger version

That’s a pretty good idea. Should work with the drawers also.

I took off all of the drawer magnets. Converted to latches, no more drawers coming open.

I have some of the tension bars on order. I’m afraid to put anything in the cab without them.

One thing I found with draws on my Sanctuary is bad alignment with the Magnet & its metal plate its supposed to latch on. I went & took measurements of all the Drawers & moved or aligned all of them so they made good contact . Now even with full drawers , no movement or Drawers opening when turning .

I also had to work on one of the push latches on the mirror med. cabinet , I added a new Spring , because it was broke in half & would not latch or stay latched . I have a rather large assortment of different types of Spring stock luckily & just cut one of the proper size & type .

Bought a pack of "rare earth" / neodymium magnets on the 'bay. They have holes in the center and came with screws to attach them to the wall. I just clipped one to the metal counterpart that is supposed to latch on to the magnet.

They work really well to keep the cabinet closed. There are two settings of the original magnet which I left in place. One with the door a bit more closed, which holds it very strongly, and the other with a little gap, good for when you're stationary as it opens a bit easier.

They come in really handy for other things too, like sticking knives and cables and whatnot to the inside of cabinet doors.

Pretty happy. Sent email to Thor customer service Sunday. They asked for my address on Tuesday. Received new mirror/door today (Wednesday) not counting Sunday pretty much a 1 or 2 day turn around. Impressed!

Cool...seems if you state your case nicely, they are pretty OK with shipping you the parts. I think they empathize with us having to go to dealers and wait forever or leave with more issues than we started with.

I was missing the fan cover on the Truma, they sent me an entire set of plastic parts.

The only issue I ever had was with the timer module, they wouldn't send it because it was a 'recalled' part. They have a policy that those need to go through a dealer. I just ordered it from the manufacture for $25+shipping.

It’s good to know if parts fail and I can fix it myself they are willing to ship it out quickly. I did mention in my email that general Rv appointment were out almost 2 months.
