Another thought, make the RV less attractive to the mice.

Traps put inside the RV, and traps in general work on the idea of “attract”. Attract the pest to the trap. Trap/attract until the pest is gone. Battle by attrition. Make a more attractive place for them to go, other than the RV or house and trap them there. Boxes with good nesting material put away from where you don’t want them to go might help. Traps inside.

Adding another layer to your pest stratagy.

Tom Cat Bait Station and spray

These bait traps are good as they keep the bait away from other rodents and more importantly from pets. When I put our RV in storage at a local facility, I spray the the wheels, coverings and wires. I place a bait station near each wheel.
Inside the RV, cotton pads with peppermint oil are placed through out the RV and recharged after 3 months.
I used this in the first storage location which was close to fields. So far no pests in 3 past years, hopefully none this winter.

Spray and bait available at HoneDepot

Had my Northstar pop up camper get a mouse infestation While up on the Jacks. they chewed holes in my pop up vinyl and screens. Caught one mom and 8 youngsters in a glue trap baited with peanut butter. The camper is solid no way a mouse could get in being 4ft off the ground. Figured out what the pregnant mouse did was to crawl up my power cord and squeeze through the small slit opening in the in the cord cover.

Problems with Mice

Before my husband passed away, he bought a Mouse Blocker Pro 12V Ultrasonic Under Hood Mouse and Rodent Deterrent and mounted in battery box with house batteries. It has been installed for 4 years now and I've never had any mice. My motorhome is stored in a building and not outside. These costs about $59.95 on Amazon and so far have worked very well.

Thanks and condolences.
I have an ultrasonic with sonic and flashing lites, wired into my trickle charger up front, in the engine bay, hanging about halfway down as well.
They may have gotten in via firewall before I winterized it. No more caught since last week! When I get a chance, I will light test the firewall.

I have had no luck with soap or essential oils- they just eat the soap and play soccer with the oil soaked cotton balls...

Essential oils can also degrade plastics, FYI...

Checking traps daily now- nothing since last reported. (3 caught last week)

FYI- Mice can jump 3-4'. Just look at those rear legs!!

I also stopped using an RV cover as mice would just use as an 'inverted' ladder, and get to the top of my RV looking for a hole...!!!! I found mouse poop next to my AC unit on the roof in the spring!
