Mysterious rattling

Hi all,

Thank you in advance for your opinions on this. 2022 Tellaro

It sounds EXACTLY like the microwave glass plate rattling but it is coming from beneath the floor over the dog food dish and other drawer. It sounds like it is under the floor under the chassis, but inspection under there doesn't find anything loose.

It is verified NOT:
The microwave plate
The glass cook top
Anything in the fridge
Anything I can find loose in the area.

It is definitely under the floor there. It's a rattle on rougher roads....not all the time.

Thoughts? Where to look?

Thank you!

Strange rattle under the floor here. Sounds just like the microwave glass plate but it not that or the cook top or anything else. Definitely underneath the floor here.

Thank you

You might want to check the heat shield around the catalytic convertor/exhaust system under the rv.

It's the beer bottles in the sub floor that the factory workers put in.

Check the LP tank. Mine does that when I have the tank shut off for a while. Drove me nuts. Could not figure out where it was coming from. There is tank level indicator mechanism in there that can rattle. Shake the RV back and forth and listen there.

I had the same issue with the shield on my exhaust pipe. Rattled when I started up and occasionally over bumps.

.

I haven't checked the shield yet, but is this something that I can tighten up? Or does it have to wait until the dealer visit?

And thank you for all the input

It does indeed look like it could be the heat shield. It's the only thing under there even remotely loose. There is a side piece of silver shield that hangs down and looks like it could vibrate back and forth....although it didn't look like it would sound like the sound I'm hearing but who knows.

So those 2 drawers....there is nothing behind them or under them but still inside the chassis that could be this?

Thank you!

Thank you Skip, I posted on the other place I have this issue but it does look like it might be the heat shield. Side piece looks like it could be loose. We adjusted it and will see.

Is there anything else inside the chassis but under that floor that could do it?

Thanks!

We identified the culprit. It is the front metal panel to the propane box. Was banging against the frame of the van at the top. No idea why, but we put some pipe insultation at the top between it and the frame and it solved the issue. Nothing around there gets hot.

Thank you for all the input.
