Pioneer DMH-1500NEX Radio reduced functionality?

I have a Sequence 20L with the Pioneer DMH-155-NEX radio installed by Thor to replace the standard Promaster radio. I am finding that there is functionality described in the Ram vehicle manual and on the UConnect website that I do not have with the Pioneer. The standard radio has a bunch of apps and functions that are not accessible via the Pioneer or at least I cannot find. Things like adjusting the Blind Side Monitor/Rear Cross Path functions have the ability to adjust how it operates but I cannot do that via the Pioneer. The standard radio can also provide apps that include having access to manuals on that screen so if you need to you can easily find what alerts mean or how to do things. Anyone else having this issue or have anything more about this?

I see that is an optional feature. Does the side mirrors have a little triangle in the upper portion that lights up ?

I have the triangle light on each mirror. It blinks when someone is in my blind spot or if in reverse someone is coming from the side. My sticker show these functions as standard on my 2021 vehicle. There is supposed to be a means of turning that off or also having an audible alarm when the system detects a vehicle. Accessing that function for the RamPromaster is accomplished through the standard radio but the Pioneer that Thor put in as replacement does not seem to have that ability. There are several things that are supposed to be adjustable through the UConnect radio function but are not on the Pioneer.

I see that the latest firmware update was way back in NOV 2019, which would have been created many months before that.

I have the blind spot monitor triangle but the system doesn’t beep or anything if you activate your turn signal when someone is in your blind spot. Not sure if it’s supposed to just comparing it to my truck.

According to the Ram Promaster manual the original radio provided capability to turn this function on/off and add chime alert to visual alert. Pioneer does not provide that ability to adjust. Original radio had ability to add applications to the radio for variety of things but Pioneer does not. One thing the Pioneer has is the ability to display the rear camera view. Promaster came with mirror that became rear camera display but that was removed by Thor when they substituted the Pioneer radio that displays rear camera.

I have a 2021 and have the same problem ... I can not even set the dash clock! Also, crosswind assist should have some settings in the connect that are not available either.

To access the hidden features all you need to do is apply the parking brake.
