Spare Tire

we are rookie RV'ers and was told this is a great place to get information. We noticed Our 2022 Thor Sequence does not have a Spare Tire. But it did come with a Thule bike rack. It appears I may be able to secure a spare tire using the rack. has anyone tried this already? the specifications for the Thule note a 77 lb. max. load and the tire is a guess at this point.

I have a few more questions but will post separately.

I just don't know if I would trust the Bike rack, that is just basically clipped to the door panel to securely carry the tire for long & if it does , it will probably damage the door Skin.

Th dedicated Spare tire mounts all seem to attach to the Door hinges with Bolts with some kind of Bracket & is also Bolted the Door through door at the outer edge of the Door.

I carry a tire repair kit & Air Compressor , but do plan on purchasing one of the dedicated Tire carrier .There are some that attach to the Trailer Hitch .

You find a spare tire mount yet? I put a receiver mount that folds down so the back door s open. Only about $100. Just drove 400 miles and it worked fine. Had to make two modifications so it would fold all the way down with a grinder and a spacer so spare doesn't hit the bike rack.
