Tranquility awning brackets

The owners manual indicates that the awning legs can be staked to the ground or placed in the awning brackets installed on the outside of rig. Just curious if anyone had these installed when purchased. Ours doesn’t, I have asked for them to be installed at a service appointment but the tech said he’d have to check with Thor to see if it’s covered under warranty. Obviously we’ll pay for installation if not covered.

On my 2021 Tellaro, the awning brackets were installed on the outside of the van and I used them a couple of times but I also walked into them a couple of time when not paying attention. The benefit was that you can lock them in place. On my 2022 Sanctuary I decided to leave them off as I like just setting the legs on the ground (straight up and down) ... not so worried about banging into them and quicker to pull the awning in when a freak storm just happens to stop by.
