Wind noise from pop top 18t & sun roof

We thought it was just a fluke due to some high winds but we are currently traveling only 60 mph and the noise is quite loud.

What happened before was a vacuum like effect on the accordion sun shade and it sucked it right out of the track…65 mph and it did it again.

I have the pop top secured, locked and pulled down as far as possible with the straps. I checked the sunroof and it’s completely sealed.

Is this normal? If so, I will have to come up with a hack/fix as this seems to be a pretty major design flaw…unless we ride with music on OR ear plugs

Not expecting a perfectly quiet ride but for a new 2022 this doesn’t seem right to me?

Thanks

Update:
Seems as if the loving mechanism on top gets compromised at higher speed/high wind. Popped open again on the 40 in OK city area …heading to dealer

Mine was supposedly fixed in Albuquerque but ironically, popped open again.

Purchased some clear gorilla tape and applied a couple f strips…not what you’d expect from an 80k+ new rig but at least it stayed shut for the rest of trip to Nashville.

Road noise is still substantial but was told by one consultant that the pop top ate going to make noise.

Guess I shouldn’t expect a luxury sedan type cabin from the tall brick!

Same issue, took it to dealer, and Thor Warranty approved a replacement

For ours the mechanism locks on one side tightly but loose on the other.

We are finally getting it back from the dealership today and they had to replace the bar in the locking mechanism so hopefully that will help. Now it’s onto the next problem the small little AC in the rig doesn’t cool and I was told that it’s putting hot air into the van why would they not have an exhaust for the hot air? Makes no sense to me will update everyone after I figure this next concern out

Are we to surmise your rig has been in the shop for over EIGHT months? For what repairs?

Poptops have been the same since the nineteen teens.
Same design 100 years later.

There are latches which have threaded rods in them. They crank down harder than you dare dare.
They cause buckling if you don't have 8 or 10 of them.
They still buckle the tops but it's a nice even buckle.
Type
Threaded latch
Into Amazon.
Pick one kind, order ten latches.

And
Price of a vehicle is not relevant.
80k is lunch money to some, heartache to others.
$80k got you a usable rv kit, nothing more.
Your $80k kit needs another $15k in customizations.
