Yeah after watching the Axis/Vegas one for a bit its pretty much the "walkaround" that our dealer did for us at purchase. They really should have been doing these all along and updating/releasing new ones with the model year changes.

Great for buying a new one but only some of it applies to the older models which is why I am grateful for our site[emoji851]
They need feedback on the video....he should be telling owners not to have the water pump on when using city water. He should also discuss filling the hot water tank and purging the air. Little things like that can make it a better experience for nubies [emoji41]

Took a quick look at the Axis/Vegas video....the engine cover swinging up is an interesting change?? I guess you need to get on your knees and look/reach up to get to the dipstick, air filter etc?? Looks painful, honestly!

I would like to say Thank You to Thor Customer Service. We had our Sprinter in the shop for oil change, and heat pump issues that were difficult to resolve so I put a note on this forum. By the next morning a Thor person emailed me with a phone number and contact information which I passed along. By that afternoon our dealer had communications with Thor service personnel and all is well. I have found Thor to be very responsive and very friendly and knowledgeable when I have called. Thanks folks.

The newer Axis models have the instant water heater. We had low water pressure at a site and had to turn on the water pump with city water to get the minimum water pressure for the water heater work (50+ Ithink).

Fixed the pressure issue later by not using the brass pressure regulator. I bought a separate gauge to test the pressure.

Glad to see that you had a solution!
Sometimes it's not low pressure: it's a low flow rate. (But the 2 factors are directly related)
The Girard needs about .9 GPM worth of water. This is kind of high...
My Truma only needs .4 GPM.

I bought the adjustable water pressure valve and keep it between 50-55 psi and the system(tankless) works great. Endless hot water until you run out of propane. I also keep the temp set around 105.

That's what I'm planning. I'm also thinking that the regulator will now go after the filters to account for the pressure drop through the filters.

I attach the water filter to the city water connector and then to my adjustable water pressure regulator before it goes to my coach. When you first use the carbon water filter, you need to flush it out onto the ground or you might get black carbon water in your coach until it flushes out. After you have done that the first time, you no longer need to flush it out until you change it again.

Thor has created a playlist of the videos.

They also created a whole "how to guide" on their website:
