Coffee on Inverter?

The converter amp size is usually geared to the battery bank size. A 45 amp converter should charge 350 amp-h to 450 amp-h flooded battery bank very efficiently. If you have more than 450 amp-h of battery capacity you should look for a more powerful converter. The max current during the bulk phase should be between 10% to 13& for max battery life (useful number of cycles). Charging the batteries to fast will shorten their life, as the ions in the battery need time to travel from anode to the cathode. If you push them to fast the battery will overheat and/or outgas. That is why the more expensive/ powerful converters monitor battery temperature.

Thanks again to all...especially thanks to 16ace27 for letting me know that I need an inverter for boon-docking that works...I am sure that the 2018 Citation 24SJ has some form of inverter but I can’t find the specs for it...I’m leaning on my dealer to dig in and help me get to the bottom of this conundrum...cheers and thanks again!...Ian.

Boondocking coffee?
I like to keep it simple.
Get a coffee pot over a campfire, and throw some coffee in it after it starts boiling.
Let it "roll" for a while, and then take it off, and throw about a cup of cold water in it. This settles the grounds (mostly) to the bottom of the pot.
Pour carefully, and enjoy!

When I was in Poland they made it by just putting grounds in a cup and adding boiling water. If you drink carefully so as not to disturb the settled grounds it works surprisingly well. Wouldn’t by my first choice, but better than not having my morning cuppa!

My water pump always pulses. Did in last unit I had as well. Probably has to do with quality of water pump installed.

If it pulses while running continually, you need an accumulator. If it cycles off and on quickly, then the pump is pumping too much water for the flow needed. A variable speed water pump is the cure.

Harmsy again...I went to THOR specs as per m1noel but I can’t find any reference to an inverter being fitted...am I looking in the wrong place or does the 2018 Citation 24SJ not have one?...I’m quite lost...

Generally - if you don't have a residential fridge then you don't have a factory installed inverter. From my research, your 24SJ has the standard 2-way propane/120 VAC fridge. But it still requires 12 VDC control power in order for it to work.

So if that is the case, no 120 VAC loads will run unless plugged into SP or running the generator.

The house batteries will supply the 12 VDC control power for the water heater, furnace, and fridge as well as the furnace's fan and interior lights. There may also be USB charging ports that , fans, and maybe a radio that are also connected to the house batteries.

But again, just like with the fresh water supply, if you are not frugal with your house battery use while boondocking, the batteries will run down to the point where the AGS (Automatic Generator Start) will start the generator (if you have that feature) to charge the batteries, or you will need to start the generator yourself to charge the batteries.
